Answer: Gilgamesh

Since Gilgamesh is also part of Sumerian mythology, he is definitely a legend, but was also a man. Utnapishtim was the survivor of the Sumerian mythological flood and was granted immortality. It was he whom Gilgamesh sought to find out how to bring Enkidu back to life. Ashurbanipal was an Assyrian king and Pertinax was a Roman emperor who ruled for three months in 193, the "Year of Five Emperors."

From 1622 to 1644 Opechancanough fought the English. His end came past the age of 90 when he was captured fighting the newcomers for the last time. But you recognize me through my dialogues, most notably the 'Republic.' " Who am I?

Answer: Plato

Much of Plato's youth is undocumented, and so his names and wrestling prowess are still open to interpretation among scholars, but I'm sticking with my story, which is the most accepted.

Zeno of Citium was the Hellenistic philosopher who founded the Stoic school of philosophy.
Parmenides was a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher whose Eleatic school of philosophy had a great effect on Plato.
