Although this is a very famous and well used quote, few know that Benjamin Franklin was actually the one who said it.

Answer: Henry Ford

Ford was really the first one to start mass producing cars. Since it was cheaper and easier, his models were all one color, and black was the ideal color for cars at the time. Whether this phrase was ever uttered by Ford is disputed but it has undoubtedly become attached to his legend nevertheless.

Answer: Abraham Lincoln

This is my personal favorite quote of all time. Lincoln was not famous for many quotes, but I believe this one was one of his best.

Eisenhower was an American soldier as well as the 34th President of the United States. He was the Supreme Commander of the Allied Forces during World War II as the General of the Army.

Francis Bacon was an English philosopher, statesman, spy, freemason and essayist. This was his most famous quote which appeared in one of his essays called the Meditations.

This quote, along with many others, were published in Benjamin Franklin's famous Poor Richard's Almanac. Although some argue that it was an anonymous person who said it, the quote is given credit to Franklin because it appeared in the Poor Richard's Almanac.

Many people will argue that Shakespeare was the one who actually said this quote. Yes, it's true that he did include this quote in one of his published works, but the official agreement stated that it would be given to the ever elusive Anonymous. Shakespeare was merely using this quote to empathsize his point.
