2. Which CATCHER had lead the league with most doubles in a season?

Interesting enough, as of the end of the 2000 season, no catcher has ever lead the American or National league in doubles. Ivan hit 47 in 1996 but finished third.
3. What major league umpire had to sit out the World Series due to a relative playing in it?

Answer: Bill Haller

In the 1962 World Series Bill's brother, Tom Haller, was the catcher for the Giants. On July 14, 1972, Bill was the home plate umpire while Tom caught for the Tigers in a game against the Royals. This was a first!
