His run started in his 3rd NHL season in 1978-79, and ended 10 seasons later. He missed 11 games in 1988-89 that would have made another 50 assist season, as he ended with 45.

Answer: Buffalo Sabres

Paul Weiland came up with fake stats for a player he named Taro Tsujimoto from the Japanese league. The prank did not amuse NHL president Clarence Campbell. He ruled the pick invalid and denied Buffalo to take another player.
