Answer: Brothers

Ty Detmer won the Heisman Trophy in 1990. He played quarterback for 14 years in the NFL with a variety of teams. Ty did not start many games but was an excellent back-up option for the likes of Brett Farve and Steve Young. Koy Detmer was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles in the 1997 draft.

He was the back-up for Donovan McNabb and was the holder for place-kicker David Akers. He was released by the Minnesota Vikings in 2007.
2. In 2008, wide receiver Matthew Slater was drafted by the New England Patriots. What is the name of his Hall of Fame father?

Answer: Jackie Slater

He plays the positions of wide receiver and safety. He has also shown his skill on special teams. In his first year he returned 11 kickoffs for a total of 269 yards. This comes out to a very nice 24.5 yd average. His father Jackie Slater was drafted in 1976 by the Los Angeles Rams as an offensive tackle.

He was the first player who played his entire 20-year career with one team. He was a seven-time Pro Bowl selection. He was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame in 2001, and is considered by many to be one of the best offensive tackles to have ever played the game.

All three were wide receivers in the NFL. Santana Moss was drafted by the New York Jets in 2001. His brother Sinorice was drafted by the New York Giants in the 2007 draft. Sinorice was a member of the Super Bowl XLII championship team. Randy Moss was drafted by in 1998 by the Minnesota Vikings.

He was voted NFL Rookie of the Year. He has been to the Pro Bowl numerous times and was the Pro Bowl MVP in 2000. Despite his controversial escapades both on and off the field, many consider him to be one of the best wide receivers to play the game in the 20th Century. Tiki Barber played running back for the New York Giants from 1997-2006. Among his many records, he became the third running back in NFL history to gain 10,000 rushing yards and 5000 receiving yards in his career, joining the likes of Marcus Allen and Marshall Faulk.

His brother Ronde was drafted by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 1997 as a cornerback. He was a member of the winning team in Super Bowl XXXVII, which was played in January of 2003. In 2005, he became the first cornerback in the history of the NFL to have 500 tackles and 20 sacks in his career.

In 2007, he caught his 32nd interception breaking the team record that had been held by Donnie Abraham.

On February 3, 2008, Eli Manning won Super Bowl XLII as the quarterback for the New York Giants. His brother Peyton Manning won a Super Bowl ring as the quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts in Super Bowl XLI on February 4, 2007. Archie Manning was a quarterback in the NFL from 1971-1984. All but two of these years were spent with the New Orleans Saints.

His brother Bruce Matthews played offensive lineman (1983-2001) for the Houston Oilers/Tennessee Oilers. He was elected to the Pro Bowl 14 times. Bruce was a very tough player who set a record for the most games played in the 20th Century by any player who was not a kicker or a punter.

In 2009, Clay Matthews III was drafted as a linebacker by the Green Bay Packers.

He is credited with a career total of 106 quarterback sacks.
