Wooden coached UCLA from 1948-1975, and won 10 NCAA titles including 7 in a row (1966-1973). He compiled a win/loss record of 885-203.
The Wooden Award, which was named after him, is presented annually to the College Basketball Player of the Year. Coach Wooden still takes an active interest in college basketball.
