Answer: Los Angeles Rams

Fred Gehrke is credited with applying the first logo to a helmet when he painted rams horns on his helmet in 1948. The horns were yellow on a blue shell, and the Rams' helmets have remained pretty much the same ever since, apart from a short span in the 1960s when the horns were white.

Answer: Brown

The Broncos first uniforms were brown, and their first set of helmets were also this color, with the logo being the player's number in white. These helmets only lasted a couple of seasons, and since then the Broncos have had various colors and designs of helmets. In 2008, they wore navy blue helmets with a horse head logo in orange and white.

Answer: Cleveland Browns

The Browns' helmets are traditionally plain orange, with no logo whatsoever. Player numbers in brown briefly adorned the sides of their helmets in the late 1950s.

The Oilers used the derrick logo from their debut season in the AFL in 1960. Early editions were of a white derrick on a light blue or silver shell, this was changed to a blue derrick on a white shell in 1975.

The falcon logo has been present since the Falcons debuted in the NFL in 1966, with the red helmets matching the color of their shirts. When the Falcons changed to wearing black shirts in 1990, so did the color of the helmet shells. In 2004, the red jerseys were reintroduced, but the helmet color remained unaltered.

The original owner of the Bengals was Paul Brown, former coach of the Cleveland Browns. Brown still owned the Browns' equipment, so early Bengals uniforms and helmets were quite similair to those of their Ohio rivals. In 1981, they decided the time was right to introduce unique uniforms of their own, so the famous tiger stripes were born.

The new helmets featured a red pirate flag logo on a pewter background, and the new uniforms (red instead of the previous orange) seemed to have an immediate effect as the team made the playoffs in 1997, for the first time in 15 seasons.

The team were originally called the Titans, and wore blue and gold uniforms. With a move from the Polo Grounds to brand new Shea Stadium imminent in 1963, a new name and look was sought. The green and white uniforms and helmets were born.

Answer: Pittsburgh Steelers

The Steelers logo, similar to that of the American Iron and Steel Institute, had been used since 1962, and had always been worn on the right hand side of their helmets only.

Answer: Dallas Texans

The Dallas Texans began play in the AFL in 1960, and wore red helmets with a map of Texas in white. A yellow star marked the location of the city of Dallas. The team moved to Kansas City in 1963 and became the Chiefs, with the helmets changing to red with a white arrowhead, the letters "KC" appearing in red inside the arrow.
