Nels Stewart was the first player to score 300 goals. He had the record for goals with 345, before Maurice Richard broke his record in 1945. He played for Montreal Maroons, Boston, and New York Americans. He won 2 Hart Memorial Trophies, 2 Stanley Cups, 1 Art Ross Trophy.
He scored 2 goals in 4 seconds, and died in 1957 at the age of 52.
