1. Who was first head coach to win three NFL Coach of the Year awards?

Answer: Don Shula

Not just three, but four of the awards were put in Shula's pocket. The award began in 1957 with George Wilson of the Detroit Lions winning it. Shula won the awards in 1964, 1967, and 1968 with the Baltimore Colts, then his fourth with the perfect season of the 1972 Miami Dolphins. Halas won two Coach of the Year awards, and Landry took one along with Bud Grant.
2. Which of these NFL players retired in the number one spot for playing in the most games with 382 under his helmet?

Answer: Morten Andersen

Andersen was a kicker for the Saints, Falcons, Giants, Chiefs, then retired as a Viking after the 2004 season. He came out of retirement to play for the Falcons in 2006 and 2007. He totaled 25 seasons. Andersen played in a record 382 games, was number one with 565 field goals, and set a record for putting 2544 points on the scoreboard. Seven times in Morten's career, he was selected for the Pro Bowl.

Although Blanda played in more seasons, he did not play in as many games, and scored more than 500 points less than Andersen.
3. The NFL Defensive Player of the Year Award began in 1971. Who won this inaugural award?

Answer: Alan Page

Except for Martin who won his in 1977, the others won the award in the 1980s. Page was a 15-season defensive tackle from 1967-1981, mostly with the Vikings, and also played with the Bears. Page was part of the 'Purple People Eater' gang of the Vikings. Alan was in his fifth season when the won the first award. Pittsburgh's Joe Greene was the first player to win the award twice, in 1972 and 1974.

Answer: Brett Favre

After playing in 15 seasons with the Packers, Brett reached this milestone in 2008 with the Jets. In 2007 with Green Bay, Favre broke the record of Dan Marino who had attempted 8358 in his career. 2009 saw Brett in a Minnesota Vikings uniform.
5. Which team was the first team in Super Bowl history to get blown out of a game by more than 25 points?

Answer: Washington Redskins

The Raiders blew out the Redskins in the 1984 game of Super Bowl XVIII, 38-9. The next blowout by more than 25 was Super Bowl XX, when the Bears embarrassed the Patriots 46-10. A bigger blowout than that was provided by the 49ers in Super Bowl XXIV, when San Francisco tamed the Broncos 55-10 in 1990.
6. Defensive end Bruce Smith was the first player in NFL history to compile 200 quarterback sacks in a career. Whose record did he break?

Answer: Reggie White

Smith shared his 19 seasons with the Bills and Redskins, and his five sacks in his final season of 2003, not only passed White, but gave him exactly 200 career sacks. White retired with 198 over 15 seasons with the Eagles, Packers, and his final season with the Panthers. Strahan set a record in 2001 with 22.5 sacks in the season.
7. Which of the following had the nickname of A-Train?

Answer: Mike Alstott

Alstott was a fullback for 11 seasons, wearing the number 40, and all with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He rushed for 5088 yards in his career, and a high number with fullbacks. He almost reached the 1000-yard mark in 1999 with 949 yards. He retired in 2006 with only three rushing touchdowns.
8. Which Super Bowl was first hosted by the Rose Bowl in Pasadena, California?

Answer: XI

The others listed were all hosted by the Rose Bowl. In Super Bowl XI, the Raiders defeated the Vikings 32-14 in 1977. It was the Vikings' fourth defeat in seven seasons. Oakland's Fred Biletnikoff was the Super Bowl XI MVP.
9. An unfortunate record that nobody wants, who was the first quarterback to have 300 passes picked off in their NFL career?

Answer: Brett Favre

With his 22 in 2008 as a New York Jet, Brett was the first to reach 300 interceptions. In 2007 with the Packers, Favre broke the record of QB George Blanda who had 277 intercepted.
