Answer: Ozzie Smith

Ozzie was acquired through a trade with the Padres in exchange for Gary Templeton in 1981. Although fans thought the Padres originally got the better deal, Ozzie became one of the most popular Cardinals of the 1980s.
2. Who was the regular player in Left Field for the team in 1985?

Answer: Vince Coleman

Vince was the National League's counterpart to Ricky Henderson for the mid 1980s, stealing usually in excess of 100 bases a year.
3. Who was the regular Center Fielder for the Cards that year?

Answer: Willie McGee

McGee was instrumental to the Cards victory in the 1982 World Series and remained on the team in 1985 and 1987. After playing for the A's and Giants, McGee rejoined the Cards and ended his career with them in 1999.

Tommy Herr was a staple of the Cardinals until the late 1980s.
