1. This Major League pitcher retired with the most wins in baseball, but unfortunately lost the most also. Who was he?

Answer: Cy Young

Young played for 22 seasons in the National and American League. He retired in 1911 with 511 career wins, but also lost 316. He lost more games than the great Tom Seaver won. Seaver retired with 311 wins.
2. Long Beach, California began their racing career in the city in 1975 racing Formula 5000. In 1976, they ran their first Formula One race. In 1984, they switched to the Champ Car series and watched which driver win it?

Answer: Mario Andretti

Not only did Andretti win the inaugural race driving a Lola-Cosworth, but won three of the first four races run in Long Beach. The other winner in the first four was his son, Michael.

Answer: Bob Knight

Answer: Earl Anthony

The left-hander competed in 144 finals throughout his great career. Anthony was known for his trademark crew cut, 41 professional titles, and his six Bowler of the Year awards. He died in 2001.

Answer: Cale Yarborough

Cale won his championships in 1976, 1977, and 1978.
9. Which woman tennis player won at Wimbledon in 2000?

Answer: Venus Williams

This created Venus' first Grand Slam title in 2000. The sister of Serena Williams, Venus defeated Lindsay Davenport in the finals, 6-3 and 7-6.
10. Which of the following teams was the first to call Los Angeles, California, their home town?

Answer: Los Angeles Rams

The Angels were a MLB expansion team in 1961. The Dodgers moved from Brooklyn, New York in 1958, and the Lakers were playing in Minneapolis. The Rams were the first, and moved from Cleveland in 1946 to play in Los Angeles. The Rams later took their business to St. Louis in 1995.
