The Angels played their games at Wrigley Field in Los Angeles. They drew only 600,000 fans in their first season. The following year they played in Chavez Ravine at Dodger Stadium. Their attendance almost doubled and went over 1,000,000 fans.

Answer: Bill Rigney

Rigney led the team in 1961 to a 70-91, 8th place American League finish. He would manage them until the 1969 season, never finishing better than third. With the Angels, Rigney obtained a .469 win percentage.
