If you look closely, a small sign is shown when the gang first enters the carnival that says "free parking."

It is never explained in the episode how the ghostly hand is able to float by itself, as in the end it is revealed to have been someone's real arm (even though we never see the body attached to it).

Dick Van Dyke mentions that the arm never paid him for throwing the balls at the bottles and winning numerous dolls.

The grill disappears into thin air with the hot dogs and hamburgers, causing Shaggy and Scooby to run out of the kitchen area.

Daphne goes to take a picture in the photo booth, where a ghost opens a trap door that she falls through into a dodge-um car.

After Shaggy and Scooby persuade Dick into hiding from the ghostly strongman chasing them, Dick realizes that he should not have to hide from the ghost and decides he should protect his carnival. He then says that he doesn't even know the meaning of the word "coward," and Shaggy convinces Dick to sit down again so he can tell him the meaning of the word.

The fortune teller machine was set up to only accept quarters, but Dick attempts to put in a penny so he can save his quarter. The fortune teller then says sternly "That is a penny."

Dick ends up falling into the water, but eventually he does find a secret door.

Shaggy and Scooby end up going the other way with the rest of the gang, and find the strongman.

The strongman wanted to scare Dick away so he could buy the carnival cheap and run it. This is a unique episode because there is no suspects whatsoever because the gang did not meet anyone other than Dick prior to the unmasking, making the mystery nearly impossible to guess.

The gang's jobs at the carnival are never mentioned again after this episode (in fact, in the first episode of the next series, the gang is looking for jobs).
