He opened the door and found Kimberly on the couch. Michael wanted to confront Kimberly for not telling him that she was dying, from a brain tumor, and Kimberly told him it was not that serious. Michael corrected her since Peter claimed her tumor was serious.

Peter asked him when he got back, from Las Vegas with Megan, and Michael responded that he returned to town the previous night. Peter told Michael that he looked terrible. Peter told Michael to slow down, since Michael seemed to be in a hurry, and he followed Michael into Kimberly's doctor's office to hear him ask her doctor for her medical records. Kimberly's doctor, Dr. Stein, refused to give Michael any of Kimberly's medical records, due to privacy laws.

Although Jane gave up ownership, of her boutique store since she left town, she gave ownership to Sydney, not Samantha. In this episode, Sydney was going over the finances and Samantha walked in to the store to begin work and Sydney told her to not be late. Samantha said she was late, for a few minutes, but Sydney said that it was still a big deal.

Kyle said that his restaurant was having some problems, as well, so he could only afford to pay in installments. Sydney agreed to let him keep paying in installments.

Jake was shocked at what she was telling him but he also said that he was excited and wanted to be a father. Sydney told Taylor she was being hypocritical since nobody could come around Kyle but Taylor was alright going around with Peter, a married man. Taylor just said that her relationship, with Peter, was none of Sydney's business. Sydney decided not to take Taylor's money.

Michael came home, one night, and he found a suicide note that Kimberly had left him. Michael realized that she was walking out, to the beach, and preparing to drown herself. Michael raced to save Kimberly and he saved her from killing herself. Michael told Kimberly he would be by her side in her final days.
