Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. At the beginning of the episode, Bette and Tina have officially decided to move out of Los Angeles and put their house on the market. Whose idea is it to make them a tribute video as a present before they leave?

Answer: Jennifer Schecter's

Jenny decides to give Bette and Tina a video edited by herself as a present. She wants Shane to be part of the present, but Shane rejects the idea later on the episode by telling Jenny that the video should be a gift from her only.
2. Tasha, Alice, and their third-wheel crush are having an open-hearted conversation in The Planet. What is the conversation about?

Answer: Jamie's and Tasha's feelings towards each other

Alice wants to hear Jamie and Tasha admit that they have feelings for each other. Jamie finally bursts it out, causing Alice to both thank her for her sincerity and get angry at her for causing stress in her relationship with Tasha. However, Alice has come to realize that Tasha and Jamie have so much in common and that her love for Tasha is so great that she decides to step out of the way.
3. During Dylan's visit to Shane's studio, she confesses that she already knew that the test of character proposed by Helena's friends during episode 6.05: 'Litmus Test' was a setup. Dylan confided this secret to one of Helena's friends. What is the name of this person, or is the name not revealed?

Answer: Jennifer Schecter

Dylan was suspicious of Niki's manager's phone call because she recognized Jenny's voice over the phone. She later confronted Jenny who revealed the plan to Dylan before it even took place! After Helena discovers that Dylan knew the test was a setup and that when Jenny "spilled the beans" to her at Max's baby shower (during episode 6.06: 'Lactose intolerant') she actually hadn't spilled the beans (since Dylan already knew), Helena decided she could no longer trust Dylan.

She then proceeds to end their relationship.
4. One of the people being questioned about Jenny's death is seen requesting a lawyer. Who is this person?

Answer: Niki Stevens

Niki is, according to Sergeant Duffy, the only person requesting a lawyer. She tells her she believes this is because the group considers itself to be tight and doesn't think they will say anything that could compromise any of its members.
5. Shane is getting a present for her friends when she encounters someone from her past in the store. In their conversation, this person tells Shane that she came back to Jenny's house to return a jacket along with a note she wrote inside one of the pockets. The jacket and note (which were delivered during episode 6.01: 'Long Night's Journey Into Day') never made it to Shane's hands. What is this person's name?

Answer: Molly Kroll

Shane was surprised to see Molly. During their short conversation (which consisted pretty much of Molly doing most of the talking), Shane discovered Jenny had been hiding the note from her, but Molly didn't seem to notice Shane never got the message. Molly also told Shane she fell for her like many other girls, but that she was doing well now.
6. There is someone other than Jenny at Bette's and Tina's goodbye party that has seen video Jenny shot of Bette and Kelly through her window during episode 6.06: 'Lactose Intolerant' while Jenny mistakenly thought she had caught Bette having a sexual liaison. Who is this person?

Answer: Kit Porter

Kit talks to Jenny at the goodbye party and demands her to show her proof of Bette's affair. Jenny reluctantly decides to show Kit the video she made of Bette and Kelly's "moment". Kit decides to confront Bette about what she just saw recorded.
7. At Bette's and Tina's goodbye party, someone decides to make up with Jenny for the sake of Shane. Who is this person?

Answer: Alice Pieszecki

Alice came to the party with a resolution: she would make up with Jenny for Shane's sake. Alice had broken up with Tasha at the beginning of the episode and felt she needed her friends. Before the end of the series finale, Tasha came back to see Alice at Tina's and Bette's with the decision to continue their relationship. Upon her arrival, she would encounter the investigation of Jenny's death.
8. Several former regular cast members of 'The L Word' appear on Bette's and Tina's departure tribute video. Which of these characters is not shown on the video?

Answer: Mark Wayland

Ivan Aycock (Kelly Lynch), Angus Partridge (Dallas Roberts), and Marina Ferrer (Karina Lombard) gave Bette and Tina their congratulations on the tribute video created by Jenny. So did Eric Mabius (Tim Haspel) and Carmen de la Pica Morales (Sarah Shahi). Mark Wayland (Eric Lively), who was the token male figure during season 2, was not screened.
9. One of the unanswered questions at the opening of 'Last Word' is related to an event that occurred on episode 6.03: 'LMFAO'. This incident eventually cost Tina her job at Shaolin Studios. Upon the discovery of the 'Lez Girls' negatives by Shane, who is the only logical suspect that could have stolen the negatives?

Answer: Jennifer Schecter

After Shane discovers the 'Lez Girls' negatives inside the attic at Jenny's house (which is only accessible through Jenny's closet), the only possible suspect to have stolen the negatives is no other but Jenny. Shane brings Tina to the attic to see this.

The exact reasons for which Jenny would have stolen the 'Lez Girls' negatives remain unknown and the ending of 'Last Word', although it may be interpreted as Jenny's way of taking revenge against the corruption of the original concept and to Adele's takeover of the movie at the end of season five. Further information on the appearance of the negatives at Jenny's attic is provided in the webisodes released by Showtime.
10. The final question of this quiz is also the final question waiting to be answered in the sixth season of 'The L Word'. It's tied to something that was seen prior to the flashback that started in the sixth season premiere 6.01: 'Long Night's Journey Into Day' and that ended on 'Last Word'. The question was also used to promote the final season. Who killed Jennifer Schecter?

Answer: It wasn't revealed

The identity of Jenny's killer -or most specifically, whether her death was in fact intentionally caused- remains uncertain as 'The L Word' comes to an end. As the episode closes, all of Jenny's friends are being questioned by Sergeant Duffy, but a clear answer is not uttered.

The viewers are left to speculate as the exact moment of her death is not seen on screen. Truth is, all of her friends had a motive, so it could have been any of them. (Even Sounder II, for being forced to wear ribbons on season five). With Jenny's death mystery remaining unsolved, 'The L Word' ended its original six year run on March 8th, 2009.

The truth may be revealed in the series of Showtime webisodes of Duffy interrogating the suspects.
