Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. As the episode begins, Tony's outfit has been decimated. His two top guys, Bobby "Bacala" Baccalieri and Silvio Dante, have been "taken out". One is dead, the other has been gravely wounded. Who is responsible for the hits?

Answer: Phil Leotardo

The animosity between Tony and Phil Leotardo has reached its vicious climax. Business differences and Phil's rage over his brother's death at the hands of one of Tony's men have made peace between the two bosses impossible. Phil has Tony's number two man and consigliere Silvio shot, and he lies near death in the hospital. Bobby Bacala, Tony's number three guy and brother-in-law, was shot and killed in a hobby shop for toy train aficionados.

Johnny Sack and Chris Moltisanti have died, and Junior Soprano is confined to a mental hospice, suffering from Alzheimer's.
2. Tony Soprano is meeting with a frazzled Agent Dwight Harris, the FBI man who has been on Tony's tail for years. Although at first the talk is of two possible "Arab" terrorists, Tony has an ulterior motive for the meeting. What is it?

Answer: He wants to know Phil Leotardo's whereabouts

There's only one thing on Tony's mind--his problem with Phil Leotardo. Tony knows Leotardo wants him dead in the worst way. His family has had to abandon their home and are living in "safe houses". Tony sleeps with a big gun. The only way for Tony to survive is to strike at Phil first, and Phil is nowhere to be found. Since Agent Harris has many sources, Tony tries to get information from him, which is not forthcoming.
3. Tony takes time out from his troubles to visit his recently widowed sister Janice. He brings her a gift of pastry, which she refuses. What was her reason for refusing the pastry?

Answer: "I need to watch my weight, I need to snag another husband"

Ever-practical Janice is thinking ahead. She did say she was joking, but Janice never goes without a man for long.
4. Phil Leotardo is impatient when he hears Tony can't be found and is still alive. He wants Soprano dead, and will not hear of any suggestion of "reaching out" to make peace from Butch, his underboss. But Butch wants to live, he's ambitious, and knows a truce is the only answer. Who is the man who brokers the peace between the warring families?

Answer: George Paglieri

Paglieri, a former NY Family boss who now runs a restaurant, was the man both sides reached out to, to be the peace broker. Carmine Lupertazzi Jr was present at the meeting, as were Butch and Albie from New York, and Tony and Paulie from New Jersey. An agreement was reached. Janice will be compensated for the death of her husband, and Phil Leotardo will have to be done away with.

When Tony asks Butch where he can find Leotardo, Butch refuses to tell him, but says "You do what you gotta do."
5. Janice and Tony Soprano pay separate visits to their uncle Corrado (Junior) Soprano in the state-run mental hospital where he's living out his days. What do they want from Junior?

Answer: They believe he has money stashed and want to know where it is

Corrado probably has money stashed in his house, but because he has advanced dementia, he doesn't even remember his niece and nephew. Janice really wants to get her hands on that money, reasoning that her late husband Bobby had been very close to her Uncle Jun. Tony tries to jog Corrado's memory, but his uncle is just too far gone. Tony is saddened to see his uncle in such bad shape, despite the fact that Corrado nearly killed him.
6. And then there's AJ Soprano, Tony and Carmela's son. He has become very close to a girl he met while in a psychiatric ward. AJ and the girl are parked in a wooded area, and begin to get involved in some very heavy petting. But something happens which brings their intimacy to an abrupt halt. What is it?

Answer: AJ's SUV catches on fire

AJ and his girl Rhiannon (whom Tony refers to as "Rahooney") are lucky to get out alive. AJ has parked on top of some dried leaves, and the SUV's catalytic converter causes the leaves to burn, which in turn causes the SUV to burn and eventually explode. AJ refers to the experience as "cleansing" while discussing it later with his shrink. He tells his angry parents it's actually a good thing the SUV burns--it will force him to take the bus. He says "we have to break our dependence on foreign oil."

Meadow Soprano is studying to become a criminal lawyer, and her boyfriend is the son of Patsy Parisi, one of Tony's men.
7. Tony receives a phone call with information regarding Phil Leotardo's whereabouts: Phil is on Long Island, making phone calls to his men from a gas station. Who is the tipster?

Answer: FBI Agent Dwight Harris

Harris calls Tony from a bed in a motel room. He tells Tony that Phil is "lammed out", forced to make calls from a gas station pay phone located in Oyster Bay, Long Island. Harris terminates the call when a woman comes out of the motel bathroom, getting dressed. She appears to have heard the call and looks very angry--then she straps a gun holster on. Turns out she's the married Harris's FBI partner.
8. Before too long, Leotardo is in a gas station with his wife and two baby grandchildren, and is discovered by Tony's men. One of the men, Walden, shoots him. Then a particularly gruesome scene occurs. What happens right after Phil is shot?

Answer: His SUV runs over his head

No one who saw this scene will forget it. Phil's wife is at the wheel-she runs to where Leotardo has fallen--leaving the SUV in gear. It rolls, Phil is underneath and his head is run over.

When Agent Dwight Harris of learns of Leotardo's death, he is jubilant: "Damn! We're gonna win this thing!" he yells. Whose side is Harris on?
9. As things begin to return to normal for the Sopranos, Paulie notices that one of their top men is missing. Soon Tony has a conversation with his lawyer, who informs him that the government has plans to indict him on a gun charge, that someone from Tony's group will be testifying to a grand jury. Who is the snitch?

Answer: Carlo

It's Carlo, whose son had been arrested in Mexico shortly before for selling drugs. Apparently Carlo made some kind of deal with the government. Tony's lawyer thinks there's an 80-90 percent chance that Tony will be indicted.

Soprano shrugs-he lives with the possibility of jail every day of his life.
10. As the episode comes to an end, Tony Soprano meets with his family for dinner in a restaurant. There's a jukebox-Tony flips through the song selections. Carmela shows up, then AJ. Meadow is the last to show, after some difficulty parking her car. Just as Meadow enters the restaurant, the episode ends. It's all over. What song was playing on the jukebox?

Answer: "Don't Stop Believing" - Journey

Interesting song titles. There are many so theories about what the final scene meant, a guy in a Members Only jacket giving the family frequent looks, Meadow's parking problem and the end coming right as she enters the restaurant, to name a couple. So it's over, and "The Sopranos" will be sorely missed.
