Answer: Michael Dukakis

Michael Dukakis was governor of Massachusetts from 1975-1979, and then again from 1983-1991. In the 1988 presidential campaign he ran against George H.W. Bush. Sam and Norm were trying to decide what to call him and they settled on "Duke" but by that time he had passed and they just got in a quick "hi".

Answer: Valentine's Day

Carla rushed to get something to Sam. When Rebecca asked what it was Carla replied, "His Vitamin E, it's Valentine's Day..duh".
