When Chrissy was leaving the apartment with the birdseed, Mrs. Roper saw her and asked what she came down for. Mr. Roper said that they were hungry. After she said she would go with him, Jack realized that he sat on the box and hung up on her and said he would call her later after he hung up. Chrissy had let the parakeet out of the box so it could fly around in the bathroom over night. Jack did not know this but he gave Mr. Roper the concert tickets when Mrs. Roper was waiting for her present with her hand out and eyes closed.
