Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Tattoo artist; NA; Georgia O'Keefe
Answer: Jane Margolis
Actress Kristen Ritter played the tragic Jane Margolis, Jesse's big love, his landlady and Narcotic's Anonymous (NA) backslider. Jane was at first good for Jesse, getting him to expand his horizons to Georgia O'Keefe's art and beyond. She, however, is the personification of "addiction", and pays a high cost because of it.
2. Deciphers "W.W."
Answer: Hank Schrader
DEA Agent Hank Schrader is a tragicomic character, but also a darn good cop. He passes up many opportunities at advancement to chase down the local meth cook known as Heisenberg and also, he eventually deduces, "W.W.". Hank gets his man, but doesn't get to enjoy his victory for long.
3. SaveWalterWhite.com; Flynn
Answer: Walter White, Jr.
Actor RJ Mitte plays the teenaged Walter Jr. Junior loves his dad, creating a website to collect funds for his cancer treatment that becomes, unbeknownst to Junior, a money laundering conduit. Junior sides with his dad in all his troubles until Junior learns the truth about dad, especially what he did to his other hero, Uncle Hank.
4. Purple; kleptomaniac
Answer: Marie Schrader
Just about everything Marie wears and most of her home furnishings are some shade of purple. She is also very clean and meticulous and, when under stress, lets off steam by impulsively stealing from shops and open houses. She sticks by her husband Hank when he is down and not too appreciative of Marie's help, and she also supports her big sister Skyler, Walt's wife.
5. "Gomie"; Norteņo
Answer: Steve Gomez
DEA Agent Steve "Gomie" Gomez is Hank's partner, a necessary calming influence on the boisterous Hank. Gomie is a Norteņo ("Northerner"), a U.S.-born person of Mexican heritage. Despite Hank's almost constant annoyances, Gomie is fiercely loyal to him up to the very end.
6. Accountant; A1A car wash
Answer: Skyler White
Skyler and Walter are deeply in love, and that lasts at least until Skyler learns that Walt is "cheating". After initially wanting separation and divorce, Skyler eventually joins Walt in his illicit business, almost literally laundering the flood of illegal cash through the bustling car wash she manages.
7. Skyler's lover; quadraplegic
Answer: Ted Beneke
Ted is president of Beneke Fabricators, and employed Skyler as a book keeper on two occasions. Skyler quit after Ted made a drunken pass at an office party, only to return to work and to Ted's arms as her marriage starts to founder. Skyler discovers that Ted is cooking the company books which leads, in a roundabout manner, to Ted becoming paralyzed after trying to refuse Skyler's help.
8. Poisoned by Lily of the Valley
Answer: Brock Cantillo
Brock is the six-year-old son of single mom Andrea, one of Jesse's girlfriends. Brock and Jesse become close, and Jesse is very upset when Brock is hospitalized, thinking he was poisoned with ricin made by Walter but carried by Jesse. Brock is released with a diagnosis of poisoning from eating berries of the Lily of the Valley plant, that is shown growing in Walt's yard. Brock sadly ends up an orphan, and Jesse is powerless to prevent it.
9. Eyebrows; car wash
Answer: Bogdan Wolynetz
Bogdan has a very impressive set of thick, bushy eyebrows that many characters remark on. He is Walter's churlish boss at the car wash, a moonlighting job to help Walt make ends meet on his meager teaching salary. Walt and Skyler later get some degree of payback on Bogdan by forcing him to sell them the car wash at their advantage.
While not a wholly "good" character, at least Bogdan isn't a felon like many of the others.
10. Bodyguard; "fingers like hot dogs"
Answer: Huell Babineaux
Although employed by the shady Saul Goodman as a bodyguard and "muscle", we never see Huell commit a felony independently, but he certainly is complicit is Saul's dealings. Huell lifted a ricin-tainted cigarette from Jesse while patting him down, leading Saul to comment that he may have been discovered due to his outsized hands and fingers. Huell certainly appears intimidating, but he's almost literally a cream puff.
