Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Buffy is up for a fight in this truly unique episode. Who are the villains that cause our heroine to "Hush"?

Answer: the Gentlemen

Aside from their toothy grins, the Gentlemen floated through the town of Sunnydale, causing a unique creep factor to "Buffy".
2. These villains have come to Buffy's hometown of Sunnydale to steal a certain number of hearts from the townspeople and permanently "Hush" them. How many do they want?

Answer: seven

Don't forget the fairy tale that told Buffy everything she and Giles needed to know about these foes.
3. So they could steal these hearts, the villains first had to take what from their victims in order to "Hush" them, so that no one could hear them scream?

Answer: their voices

Hence the name of the episode. This is why we see the wispy smoke (metaphoric voices) of the sleeping Sunnydale residents being drawn from their sleeping bodies.
4. Giles had a friend from the Watchers Council visiting him in this episode. What was this unlucky woman's name who was "Hush"ed?

Answer: Olivia

Although she is not a notable character in this episode, she is one of the few women we see as a love interest of Giles.
5. The villains have minions who help them "Hush" their victims. These minions are wearing what?

Answer: straight jackets

Even though these guys are tied up they are still able to aid in stealing hearts for the Gentlemen.
6. Willow's friend Tara is murdered in this episode.

Answer: False

Tara is not killed in this episode. In fact, she actually becomes more of a prominent character of the show because of her connection as a witch to Willow.
7. Refusing to be "Hush"ed, what does the girl in Buffy's dream sing at the beginning of the episode?

Answer: a nursery rhyme

Thank God Buffy has those prophetic dreams, otherwise how will she know what to do? Her dream also includes her first on screen kiss with Riley.
8. While under the "Hush" spell, who does Xander accidentally think kills Anya in this episode?

Answer: Spike

Even though Xander, Anya, and Spike really don't do much in ways of killing the villains in this episode, they still have their typical funny anecdotes.
9. Who destroys the box where the villains have stored what they took from the townspeople in order to "Hush" them?

Answer: Riley

Riley destroys the box at Buffy's request.
10. Who breaks the "Hush" and turns out to be the fairy tale "princess" that destroys the enemy?

Answer: Buffy

Buffy then gets her voice back to defeat the Gentlemen. With her first breath she screams to explode the heads of her enemies.
