Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Who are the three angels who appear in the first season of "Charlie's Angels"?

Answer: Sabrina Duncan, Jill Munroe and Kelly Garrett

This was the only season which had all three of the original angels in every episode, as Farrah Fawcett left the show after the first season and was replaced by Cheryl Ladd (who played her younger sister Kris). Farrah Fawcett did appear for six further episodes over seasons 3 and 4, however.
2. In the pilot episode, there is a character who was played by David Ogden Stiers. This character was originally going to be part of the show, but it was felt that the character of John Bosley was a better fit. Which was the written out character?

Answer: Scott Woodville

All of the incorrect answers were also characters from the pilot episode. The pilot tells the story of a wealthy winegrower who mysteriously disappears, and the angels have to prevent his second wife from inheriting his estate if he doesn't turn up.
3. One of the most famous episodes of "Charlie's Angels" was "Angels in Chains", where the angels have to go undercover in a Louisiana prison. What crimes do the angels commit to be imprisoned?

Answer: Speeding, picking up a hitchhiker and hitchhiking

Kelly and Sabrina are stopped for speeding. They pretend that Jill is a hitchhiker whom they have picked up along the way. The police then plant drugs in the boot (trunk) of the car and imprison the angels. The angels then discover that the prisoners are being forced into prostitution.
4. (Remember this is a quiz about season 1.) In "To Kill an Angel", Kelly is shot in the head. Where is Kelly when this happens?

Answer: At the fun fair/amusement park

Kelly has taken Skip, a little boy from the local sanatorium, to the funfair. While they are there, Skip witnesses two men running away after committing a murder. He picks up the gun and accidentally shoots Kelly in the head, then runs away.

Kelly is shot in the head twice during "Charlie's Angels" - she is also shot in the last episode of season 5 ("Let Our Angel Live").
5. "Lady Killer" is one of my favourite episodes in Season 1 because of the twist at the end. In this episode, Jill lines up to become a candidate for Feline Magazine because two of the previous candidates have been murdered. Who is the killer in this episode?

Answer: Paula

It turns out that the killer is Paula, who is jealous of the girls because she lost all her hair after a car accident. Love it!
6. In "Dirty Business", the angels are asked to investigate what seems like a simple arson at a film recording studio. However, the owner of the studio is remarkably uncooperative. While attending at the studio, the angels see various odd things, such as Little Bo Peep wandering past. Why is the studio-owner so reluctant to let them investigate the arson?

Answer: The studio is used for making pornographic films

I love "Dirty Business" because it's so tongue in cheek! Quote:

Sabrina Duncan: "Were you shooting one of your epidermal epics then?"
Marvin Goldman: "Sally of Sin City."
John Bosley: "That is a very provocative title."
Marvin Goldman: "I thought of it myself."

7. In "Dancing in the Dark", the angels are asked to look into a blackmail operation which seems to be centred around a dance studio. Which angel dresses up as a mentally-troubled (and co-ordination troubled!) heiress and takes dance lessons from Tony Bordinay?

Answer: Sabrina Duncan

In this episode, Jill's cover is that of a dance instructor who is looking to marry a rich man, and Kelly's cover is that of a bent detective. Dennis Cole plays Tony Bordinay, and during the filming of this episode he met Jaclyn Smith (Kelly Garrett), and later went on to marry her.
8. (Bear in mind that this quiz is about season 1 only.) Which episode involved the angels taking a trip on a cruise-ship?

Answer: "Angels at Sea"

"Angels at Sea" involves the angels taking a cruise when various unusual accidents and deaths occur on a liner. Frank Gorshin, who plays the murderer in this episode, also played the Riddler in "Batman". The episode ends with the angels having to diffuse three bombs with only guidance over the telephone from a bomb disposal expert who isn't quite sure what kind of bombs they're dealing with!
9. Dirk Benedict, who is best-known for his role in "The A-Team" as Templeton 'Faceman' Peck, appears in the "Blue Angels" episode at the end of season 1. Which angel poses as a "masseuse" in this episode?

Answer: Jill Munroe

Jill actually does give a real massage to one of the clients who comes in, much to his initial dismay as that was not exactly what he was after. Afterwards, however, he says to her "Actually, you have wonderful fingers", to which Jill replies "Ah these old things? I've had them with me for years!".
10. Who is the only member of the office who knows what Charlie looks like?

Answer: John Bosley

None of the angels has ever seen Charlie, but Bosley has. According to the Internet Movie Database, the character name "John Bosley" was chosen because the actor who played him, David Doyle, was often mistaken for the actor Tom Bosley (www.imdb.com).
