After Phoebe had a premonition of her death, the sisters cast a spell to take them into the future to stop it, only to find out that they weren't meant to stop it, only to understand why it had to happen.

However, when the sisters learned that their job was to protect the innocent, not punish the guilty, the Elders sent them back to their own time, and Phoebe was once again alive.

When the ghosts of Rick and Nathan Lang discovered they couldn't kill Leo to get revenge, they decided to make him suffer, so they killed one of his charges, making him watch as they did. The guilt he felt over this made him lose his powers, so he couldn't get to Piper in time when the ghosts killed her to hurt Leo even more.

When Piper died, she became a ghost and was able to vanquish Rick and Nathan. After they were gone, though, she started to move on, until Phoebe and Paige convinced Leo that his charge's death was not his fault. He got his powers back and healed Piper.

When Richard freed Phoebe from the genie's bottle, the demon "genie" was the first to pick up the bottle, which made her Richard's new master. Her first wish was for the Charmed Ones to die.

When the demon wished the Charmed Ones dead, as Piper was moving on she called to Leo, and he healed her in his sleep. Since the wish was for all three of them to die, this stopped Phoebe and Paige from moving on until they were able to possess the demon and have her wish Richard free. Richard then wished the Charmed Ones alive again.

The morning after Prue snuck out, Phoebe and Piper found her in the woods with the Dragon Warlock and the genie. When the Dragon Warlock saw that Phoebe was flying over them and was going to swoop down and get Prue, he stabbed Prue, and she bled out before the sisters could get her back to Leo.

Originally, Phoebe and Piper thought that if the genie went back in the bottle, Prue would come back to life. When that didn't work, they got the genie back out of the bottle and Phoebe wished Prue was alive again, and Prue came back.

Because Paige's protection spell was literally stopping all death, the Angel of Death had to find someone to help him collect souls. After Piper yelled at him, he killed her so she could help collect souls.

After he had caught up with the souls, Death returned Piper's soul to her body. She woke up in the morgue.
