"Man about the House" was broadcast in the UK from 1973 to 1976 and starred Richard O'Sullivan, Paula Wilcox and Sally Thomsett - the storyline of a young male student sharing a flat with two girls was considered at the time to be quite revolutionary and daring. The format went on to be sold worldwide to countries including the USA, Netherlands, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Chile and Ecuador.

The pilot was actually set in North Hollywood, but this was changed for the main series.

Chrissy was not born on Christmas, but she said her father was a big fan of Bing Crosby. However, in a later episode, she said she was named "Christmas" because she was "the best present he [her father] ever got."

Larry was played by Richard Kline through the show's run. He was also the only member of the cast apart from John Ritter to appear in both spin-offs, "The Ropers" and "Three's a Crowd".

Kline went on to appear as a guest star on several series, including "NYPD Blue" and "Married...with Children".

Answer: Don Knotts

Mr. Furley manages the apartment building for his brother, Bart, who bought it from the series' original landlords, the Ropers. Don Knotts portrayed Deputy Barney Fife from 1960-1965 on "The Andy Griffith Show" (1960-1968), for which he received five Emmy Awards.

Answer: Strawberries

Lana tried to get Mr. Furley to find strawberries to get him off her back so she could seduce Jack. However, Furley found the strawberries which shocked Lana, since they were not in season. Furley admitted that he bought them at the store, to which Lana replied that she couldn't eat them without cream. Furley, one step ahead, produced some cream and said that is the way he liked it too.

Jack's Bistro opened in the episode "Opening Night". Larry managed to put the wrong opening date on the flyers, but then made it up to Jack by bringing all of his Greek relatives to the restaurant's opening.
