Shawn ended up tying the cans to Mr. Feeny's car not the Matthews' car. He later quit because he was under pressure and Cory was being a jerk.

Shawn's father died of a heart attack. Topanga stopped choking Shawn because she realized that if she choked him to death, then Eric would be the best man. Shawn ended up quitting as best man and Eric did become the best man.
