Antonio shows Helen a photograph of his cousin Vincenzo's new baby. The photograph has practically the same effect on everyone who sees it, Helen screams, Joe exclaims, and the priest crosses himself after being startled. Antonio acknowledges that the baby is not handsome, but is bound by God to love it since he is the godfather.

He's taking his responsibility seriously, which accounts for his re-devotion to the Catholic religion.

Joe takes Helen aside to scold her for not ordering the 'Joe and Helen' cocktail napkins. He even brings out "the binder" to show her that he's done his share of the wedding chores.

After Joe scolds Helen for not taking care of her share of the wedding plans, he says he has to go to the courthouse for the marriage license application. To prove to Joe that she loves him and really wants to get married, Helen says she'll take care of it.

Antonio walks over to Brian and says he wants to show Brian something. Brian, thinking it's the photo of the baby, says he's heard about that thing and to keep it in the bag. Several years earlier, Helen had married Antonio so he could stay in the country. She thought they had divorced and everything was taken care of. Helen returns from the courthouse angry because someone (she believes Antonio) had forgotten to send the papers in. Antonio reminds Helen that she was supposed to send them in.

He remembers that they were having champagne to celebrate the divorce, and Helen spilled some on the papers. She put them under the cash register to straighten them out. An unbelieving Helen walks over to the cash register, and Antonio lifts it up to reveal the papers.

Helen finds out that it takes 120 days to divorce in Massachusetts, but the wedding is in five weeks. Antonio suggests prayer, but Helen goes to Roy for help. He recommends she get Brian to fly her to Mexico for a quickie divorce after she sends Joe out of town. Helen makes reservations for Joe at the Brownsville Lodge at Pleasant River for some fly-fishing.

Antonio's newfound faith requires that he get an annulment so he won't go to hell. He tells Helen all they have to do is convince the priest they are a couple who can't get along. Antonio has arranged for the priest, Father Maguire, to meet them the next day for counseling. Father Maguire is positive he can reconcile Antonio and Helen, when Brian interrupts to tell Helen there's a little problem.

The priest overhears Helen telling Brian he can forget about wild sex this weekend if he doesn't get her to Mexico. Father Maguire mistakenly believes Helen is planning a weekend with her boyfriend. Once he hears that Helen is getting married to Joe, but the guy she was talking to about sex is Joe's brother, Father Maguire tells Antonio it doesn't look good.

Brian shows up at the airport with a woman named Roberta. She says she's never been to Mexico, but once she goes, she'll have been to all 50 states. Helen can't believe Brian is bringing a date to her divorce, but Brian says he brought one to his own divorce.

After Helen finishes with Father Maguire, she goes to Lowell in the hangar to tell him how much she appreciates him working while he's sick. Since he's been drinking cold medicine all day, he's a little out of it. He says, "Thanks, Roy", and then mentions how much easier it would have been without all of the bats (imaginary bats, of course) flying around.

Joe goes into the hangar to get his tackle box, and finds Lowell standing there holding his cold medicine bottle in one hand, and a flyswatter in the other. Joe asks why Lowell is working since he's sick, and Lowell tells him that he had to fix the plane so Brian could fly Helen and Antonio to Mexico for a divorce. Lowell also mentions that maybe they'll solve their sex problems in Mexico too. Joe says, "Sex problems?", and Lowell tells him that they've been arguing with a priest about it all morning. Joe may have believed him, right up until Lowell mentions the bats, and asks Joe to help him with them.
