Answer: The Predacon and Maximal bases

Tarantulas was always officially a Predacon, but he also had an agenda of his own. Unlike some of the other Predacons, who would sometimes challenge Megatron for leadership, Tarantulas had grander designs. In this instance, Tarantulas did not want either the Predacons or the Maximals to interfere with his plans.

In the first season, Tarantulas would work on his own projects without necessarily telling Megatron, but in the second and third seasons, Tarantulas would start to actively work against the Predacon leader.

Answer: Blackarachnia

Tarantulas kept a secret, hidden lair where he could scheme in private. Blackarachnia, possibly from being another spider, was able to find it. Instead of revealing the hiding spot to Megatron, she offered to team up with Tarantulas as a spider duo, which might one day dispose Megatron. Tarantulas offered to let her help, but still did not tell her about his real loyalties and goals.

Rattrap and Cheetor had also both been to Tarantulas' lair in earlier episodes, but never seemed to use that knowledge.

Answer: Yes

Tarantulas managed to extract the Maximal programming chip, and replace it with a Predacon one, making the new protoform a Predacon. However, the protoform's logic circuits were damaged, and being a Maximal or Predacon did not mean much to Inferno when he emerged.

Answer: Ant

Tarantulas had wanted to create another spider for the Predacons. When Tarantulas first selected a beast mode for Blackarachnia, Megatron suspected ulterior motives. Tarantulas had ever brought along a caged spider for the new protoform to scan for a beast mode.

Unfortunately, the pod had already performed the scan, and picked up the nearby ant hill. The new Predacon, Inferno, emerged as a giant fire ant.

Answer: The stasis pod

Inferno's logic circuitry was damaged, which was odd because his descent and landing were probably the smoothest of any transformer's in the entire series.

The damaged circuitry was overridden by his beast mode, and he emerged thinking he was an ant, and that his stasis pod was his colony. As a soldier, his only goal was to protect his colony from invaders. When he saw the two spiders, he promptly attacked them.

Later, once acquainted with the Predacons, Inferno would refer to Megatron as his queen, and would follow orders obediently. Megatron appreciated the loyalty (a rare commodity), but grew tired of the new title.

Answer: Airazor

The first Maximal to see the pod descending was Tigatron. He ran for the pod, but was ambushed by Waspinator. Waspinator damaged Tigatron, preventing him from running any farther, but then Airazor showed up and clipped Waspinator's wings. Tigatron told Airazor about the pod, and she raced to get to it before the Predacons did.

When Airazor arrived, Inferno showed off his flight mode to meet her. While Airazor was warm and welcoming to the newly emerged Inferno, the ant was only hostile towards yet another invader.

Answer: Blackarachnia

Blackarachnia saw Airazor approach, and took the opportunity. While Inferno and Airazor were in the air, Blackarachnia decried the Maximals, and shot down Airazor.

Inferno was confused that a spider would help, and gave Blackarachnia a moment to explain herself. She said she was a personal friend of the royalty.

Answer: The stasis pod

While Inferno was busy with Airazor and Blackarachnia, Tarantulas made off with his real goal: the stasis pod itself. While usually a pod would not warrant attention, Inferno was attached to his, which made Tarantulas' task a lot more difficult.

Tarantulas' plan was to turn the pod into an escape ship to leave the doomed planet. Only Tarantulas knew about the alien forces at work, and what they were going to do, but he wasn't about to tell anyone else. He didn't much care if they all perished.

Answer: Tigatron

Tigatron found the downed Airazor, and sent her back to the Maximal base to get repaired. Tigatron elected to go on alone to secure the stasis pod.

Tarantulas wanted the pod to make an escape ship, Inferno wanted to protect the pod, and Megatron saw Tarantulas and suspected treachery. While all three were working against each other, when Tigatron showed up and destroyed the pod to secure the data records, he became a common target. Tigatron was nearly scrapped by all the Predacons in the area, but was still defiant, even when about to be executed.

Answer: Airazor and Optimus Primal

Inferno was about to execute Tigatron for destroying the pod, when he suddenly exploded into multiple pieces (much like Waspinator frequently did). Airazor had gone back to the Maximal base for help. She and Optimus Primal, as the two fliers, made the fastest rescue team.

Tarantulas had run away when he saw Megatron, Inferno was in pieces, but they were still in Predacon territory. Optimus grabbed Tigatron and the Maximals flew out of there with the Predacons firing after them. While they did manage to secure the stasis pod and save Tigatron, the Predacons gained a new ally in the Beast Wars.
