Episode 22: "The Low Road" Trivia Quiz

Answer: Clearing brush around the base

The land around the Maximal base had recently become overrun with wild bean vines. They would have offered plenty of cover for any Predacons trying to get close, so they had to be removed. Rattrap was out using one of Optimus' swords, and Dinobot used his velici-rotor.

Answer: Rhinox

Rattrap and Dinobot got into an argument, and did not hear the warning of approaching Predacons. Sentinel could not be brought online until everyone was inside, and so Rhinox stood at the foot of the entrance to provide cover for the two Maximals caught outside. Despite being under attack, the two still did not stop bickering.

Answer: Energon discharge

Rattrap and Dinobot, because they could not work together, gave Tarantulas enough time to sneak up and launch his virus at the Maximals. Dinobot managed to duck out of the way, but it caught Rhinox in the face.

Rhinox was infected with an Energon discharge virus, which caused him to sneeze violently, sending powerful blasts of Energon with each one. He was doomed to keep sneezing (and destroying the base) until his Energon reserves were completely drained.

In "The Probe", Tarantulas made a device that locked transformers in their beast modes, and in "Gorilla Warfare", Scorponok infected Optimus Primal with a cyber bee that induced an uncharacteristic rage.

Answer: Terrorsaur

Terrorsaur was flying overhead when Rhinox sneezed and singed Terrorsaur's tail. Terrorsaur used his burnt bottom as proof of the virus' effectiveness. Megatron was delighted that the virus worked, and sent out his team to find Tarantulas to create more.

Neither Blackarachnia nor Scorponok could fly to observe the Maximal base, and Tigatron was a Maximal.

Answer: A slide

Dinobot managed to sniff out Tarantulas, and gave chase, but Tarantulas eluded the Maximals. Dinobot and Rattrap fell down a trapdoor onto a slide that took them into the maze-like caverns around Tarantulas' lair.

Answer: Tarantulas was crushed by a boulder

While screaming down the slide, Rattrap (sitting on Dinobot's shoulders) smashed through a stalactite, releasing a boulder behind them. At the bottom of the slide, while they were picking themselves up, Tarantulas got the drop on the Maximals and held them at gunpoint. It was a brief victory, as the boulder quickly came rolling down and crushed the spider.

Answer: Blackarachnia and Scorponok

Tarantulas was probably the most secretive Predacon, and enjoyed his solitude. He always had a secret lab away from the base where he could perform his own experiments. He kept having to move his lab (or maybe just maintained multiple) whenever one was found. Blackarachnia had similar secretive traits, being a spider herself.

Waspinator and Terrorsaur were fliers who often worked together, but were better at scouting by air, rather than caverns. Tigatron, Cheetor, and Airazor were all Maximals, and probably would never actually help Megatron.

Answer: That Tarantulas should be quiet

While the two were arguing, they did not notice Tarantulas regain consciousness and get up. He tried again to get the jump on the Maximals, but they responded in unison with an emphatic "Shut up!" while punching his lights back out.

Answer: He blasted Tarantulas

Dinobot: "Do not fire, Megatron! I have a hostage!"
Megatron: "Why, so you do." *blasts Tarantulas*. "Now, are there any other stupid Maximal ploys you wish to try?"

Luckily, Rattrap managed to sneak behind the Predacons through a duct, and shot all their weapons out of their hands.

Answer: He threatened to destroy the countervirus

The Predacons never found more of the virus in Tarantulas' lab, but they did get the countervirus. Blackarachnia wanted to destroy the countervirus, but Megatron held onto it as a bargaining chip. It was exactly what he needed when the Maximals showed up.

Unfortunately for Megatron, the Maximals brought the diseased Rhinox with them, and the Predacons became the target of a bean-fueled Energon discharge.

Rattrap was able to grab the countervirus from the rubble, and Rhinox was finally healed back at the base. The Predacons, meanwhile, dejectedly hung from a tree after yet another failure.
