In this episode, after Karen tricks Ben in "Homecoming", Tom and his fighters find Ben and end up capturing an Overlord. Also, a new type of aliens are introduced, spider-like creatures that scare Anne Lourdes and Matt in the basement, and kill Jameel.

After some turmoil between fighters and mechs outside of the hospital, Tom convinces Karen to let them leave in peace in exchange for the Overload. The Second Mass then hits the road for Charleston. Ben goes on to find the skitter rebellion and in the finale of the second season we see that he is successful.

Tom reveals to Anne that Rebecca used to be the referee between Ben and Hal. Hal has also said that he regrets fighting with Ben right before he was captured and harnessed. Ben seems to have a different relationship with Matt though. With Matt, Ben acts like himself and seems very comfortable.

The original plan is to just get in and out with as little disturbances as possible, but Hal thinks that is too risky. After talking with Rick, Hal devises a plan. Hal wears a broken harness to seem like a harnessed kid. He then sneaks into the hospital and joins Ben's group.

When everyone is asleep, Hal uses a technique discovered by Anne, and kills it silently with a knife. Soldiers including Tom and Maggie are then able too come in and grab Ben and the other kids.

In "Compass" Jimmy gets stabbed while fighting skitters. Ben and Jimmy were not supposed to be hunting but Ben led them to fight. Ben blames himself for Jimmy's death. Jimmy had this compass that Captain Weaver gave him. In this episode Pope steals the compass which leads to a fight between him and Tom, and Pope's departure from the Second Mass. Pope later returns in "Homecoming".

Connor Jessup is from Canada and is 18 in 2012. When he was younger he played Simon in "The Saddle Club". Connor Jessup also stars in a movie entitled "Bye Bye Blackbird". Drew Roy plays Hal and can also be seen as Jesse on "Hannah Montana" and Griffin on "iCarly". Maxim Knight plays Matt and is 12 in 2012. Colin Cunningham plays John Pope.

All of the kids and the people of the Second Mass think that this will be a safe place to keep their kids in for a short period of time. In reality, the man in charge has made a deal with the skitters, he will give them kids to harness if they will leave him and his few people alone. Hal and Lourdes become suspicious when they find a backpack belonging to a kid that had left the Second Mass a couple days before, but Rick's dad tells them it is nothing. But, then Rick's dad finds evidence that the kid used to be there. Rick's dad helps the kids escape but gets killed in the process.

In this episode Ben and the rebel skitters find the Second Mass in Charleston. Ben and the Second Mass fighters go to destroy the skitter's weapon but were quickly captured by Karen and Dai was killed. Karen tortures Tom, Captain Weaver, and Hal but they were saved by the rebel skitters. During the battle Red-Eye dies but so does the Overlord.

In the end of the finale, a new alien species comes floating down from the sky, and we don't know if they are friends or foes.

In "A More Perfect Union", Hal comes out to see Ben where he is camping with the rebel skitters. Hal asks if Ben sleeps upside down with the skitters. Ben then says that he tried it and all the blood rushed to his head and passed out, he then said "guess I'm human after all." Hal then looks alarmed and tells Ben not to talk like that, and Ben assures him that he was only kidding.

Hal, Ben, and other fighters are out hunting skitters. They think all of the skitters are dead and are about too leave when Ben sees something moving. In the meantime, Tom has escaped from the alien ship and is making his way to the Second Mass when he hears gunshots and Ben's voice.

He goes to find them, but instead sees a skitter. At the same time, Tom rushes forward to stab the skitter and Ben starts shooting. Ben accidentally shoots Tom.

Answer: He can hear the jamming signal for the skitter communications.

Ben can hear the signal that jams the skitters' communication. Ben says it hurts, but he helps Uncle Scott find it anyways so that they can make the mechs retreat. Ben finds the signal, then connects the radio to a larger antennae (the flagpole) so the mechs will hear it.

In the end of this episode, Tom takes Karen's hand and walks onto an alien ship in order to save Ben from the harnesses side effects.
