GSR: "CSI"'s Gil Grissom and Sara Sidle Quiz

There is an explosion in the lab earlier in the episode in which Sara is mildly injured. The thought of almost dying without telling Grissom how she feels makes her ask him out to dinner at the end of the episode.

Grissom's original line was something about bugs and his "Since I met you" response was an ad lib.

After the meat incident, Sara requesta a leave of absense. She realizes that although she's head-over-heels for Grissom, he doesn't know the most simple thing about her. At the end of the episode, he and Catherine are having drinks and she suggests he does something about Sara. At first, Grissom wants to send her flowers, but then he opts for a plant. "She likes vegetation," he said.

Answer: From Grissom.

The person on the other end of the phone asks Grissom what he wants the sentiment to say. Just the word "sentiment" alone startles him. He pauses for a moment then chooses, "From Grissom."

Answer: This

This is the episode where Sara asks Grissom out to dinner, and he rejects her invitation. After he says, "I don't know what to do about this," Sara responds with, "I do. By the time you figure it out, you really could be too late."

Answer: Scuba Doobie Doo

After she wipes the "chalk" from his face she says, "Chalk. From the plaster." He then wipes his own face with his hand, seeing that there was never chalk there to begin with.

Answer: Honey

It isn't until later in the episode that Sara actually realizes that he called her "Honey." In addition to the "Since I met you" line, "Honey" was also an ad lib by Billy (Wlliam) Petersen.

After she says this to him, he has absolutely no idea what to say to her!

Even after she says this, Grissom still has no idea what to say.

Answer: "Bloodlines" and "Nesting Dolls"

The first time was in "Bloodlines", the season 4 finale. Sara was pulled over for drunk driving after she lost the promotion to Nick. She wasn't booked, however, they did have to call her supervisor. Grissom walked into the room where she was sitting, sat down with her, and held her hand.

The second time was season 5's "Nesting Dolls". Sara was insubordinate and out of line with Catherine and Conrad Ecklie, so Grissom came to her apartment to find out why. She confessed to him later in the episode that her mother killed her father when she was very young. She broke down into tears, and Grissom took her hand into his.

She revealed this family secret to him after having a fight with Catherine and Ecklie. Grissom wanted to know why she was so angry. Her reponse? "I thought it was the way that everybody lived. When my mother killed my father, I found out that it wasn't."

Answer: Butterflied

The only character to mention the resemblance between Sara and the victim (Debbie Marlin) was Catherine. When Sara finally saw the body, she realized why Grissom had been avoiding her throughout the case.

For a lot of Grissom/Sara "shippers", butterflies have come to be a symbol of the relationship, or lack thereof, between Gil and Sara.

When she said this, she was careful not to make eye contact with Grissom. However, he was looking intently at her.

The original script had Grissom trying to break down the door to get into the room where Sara was being held hostage by Adam. In the final cut, however, Grissom just stood there looking at Sara, completely helpless.

Sara and Greg were forced to take a shower together because they were in a house that was infested with mold. HAZMAT came and made them take a shower in a makeshift tent outside the crime scene. As they were walking down the hall later, Greg told Sara he didn't look at her while they were in the shower. Sara told him she saw everything. Grissom overheard and looked completely shocked.
