Answer: The Dark Avenger

Cordelia: "Okay, we fade up on an aerial shot, downtown, skyscrapers, lights, yada, yada, yada. We hear a narrator, preferably famous, maybe that bald Star Trek guy or one of the cheaper Baldwins, and he says: 'it's a big, bad city out there.' Cut to a woman walking down a dark, spooky street, alone. We'll cast some beautiful, young actress, maybe an up-and-coming starlet whose carrier is on the verge of taking off. Anyway, she's all nervous, right, mucho vulnerable.

The voice guy says, 'danger lurks around every corner.' Boom! She's attacked by a big, ugly goon, with a knife.

She screams: 'help! Is there no one to help me?' Well now there is someone to answer your call. He'll protect you, catch you when you fall! You can count on it. And you can count on me, because I'm the Dark Avenger".

Cordy: "I don't know. I'm not getting every man, I'm getting weasel. We don't want weasel?"
Doyle: "I don't know. I think people will be pouring in as soon as they hear about our low rats. I could take another crack at it."
Cordy: "I don't think so."
Doyle: "Weasel factor, huh?"
Cordy: "Doyle, I didn't mean it like that. I'm sorry. I'm just, I feel kind of hopeless with him down there doing the non-profit brooding. It's not like he has a heart. How could it be so broken?"

Answer: The Scourge

The scourge were a group of pure demons who hunted and killed half demons. The dressed and acted liked the Nazis from World War II. Angel infiltrated them, to gain information and save his own life.

Answer: Rieff

Rieff was the young demon who didn't believe anyone would be able to help them get away from The Scourge. Tony Denman played Rieff. He also played Scotty Lundegaard in the 1996 movie "Fargo".

Answer: Lucas

Lucas came to ask Doyle for help, but Doyle refused. That night he had his first vision, of Lucas and all the other Bracken's dead. Sean Gunn played Lucas. He went on to star as the quirky Kirk Gleason on "Gilmore Girls".

Rieff: "Right. A choice. Where do I want to be hated? You wouldn't get it. You're passing. My mother was the same way. You can walk down the street. She took me out with her one day. I was so excited. Just out in the neighbourhood with all the other kids. Guess what day it was? What day was it?"
Doyle: "It was Halloween."

One of the demons spoke of Doyle, to Cordy, as though she already knew he was half Bracken. She found this out on the ship, before Doyle arrived with Rieff.

Doyle was half Bracken demon. The kind of the demon they were helping in "Hero" were Listers.

Cordelia slapped Doyle and then told him she didn't care that he was half demon. She then told him to "ask her out to dinner already".

Doyle said this to Angel just before he punched him, knocking him over the ledge. Doyle then morphed into his demon face and jumped onto the Scourge's beacon to disable it, sacrificing himself to save everyone on the ship with human blood. The light source was designed to kill anything that contained any human blood. That made all the Listers, Doyle himself, Angel and Cordy vulnerable.

Doyle kissed Cordy and a strange blue light passed between them. Though there was no indication Doyle knew what would happen, we found out in the next episode the kiss had passed the visions on to Cordy. Doyle was allowed to experience his hero's death.
