Nate Haywood or Steel, took Cisco, Felicity, Mick and Vixen back in time to 1951 Oregon to kidnap a Dominator to interrogate. Their mission was a success, sort of. Before they get the information they needed they were arrested by federal agents. Eventually they escape capture and got the information they needed. Haywood was played by Nick Zano.

Cisco and Felicity were talking about how they Barry was his best friend. Cisco then told Felicity that Barry had killed his brother and they were not friends. Cisco's brother had been killed in the alternate reality created when Barry travelled back in time. He later realized that Barry was only trying to do what was right, and declared to Barry in front of the entire group that they were friends.

In a previous episode of "Legends of Tomorrow" he had interacted with his younger self and convinced himself to sire a child. Because he was a man out of time, he had no memories of the daughter that hadn't existed previously in his own timeline.

The aliens arrived in 1951 after the Justice Society of America formed and metahumans outed themselves. They came back in 2016 after metahumans once again emerged as major players in the world. Barry's changing of the timeline with "Flashpoint" was the direct result in the return of the aliens.

The group rescued the alien from the government in 1951, and then repaired the stolen ship they had on the Waverider, he kept the transponder before sending the alien on its way. The second they returned to 2016, the transponder went off and the alien demanded Barry Allen be turned over to them or they would kill all metahumans.

The bomb would target anyone with metahuman genes. There were expected to be more than 2 million non-metahuman deaths as well if the bomb was detonated.

The device would cause immediate and massive pain to the aliens. The small devices had to be placed on each alien individually though, and if a single one was missed the plan wouldn't work.

Firestorm, which is a hero that combines Martin Stein and Jefferson Jackson into one body, changed it into water. The heroes that weren't part of his own team didn't know that he had that ability.

Oliver apologized for benching her earlier in the episode, and said he thought their Earth could use a Supergirl. A few moments later Cisco gave her a device that would allow her to both communicate, and travel between the two Earths.
