Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Whose watch did Donna say was not working properly according to the U.S Navy?

Answer: Josh

Josh believed the time to be ten to seven but Donna corrected him that it was actually five past seven and said, "'Cause those large clocks on the wall that are run by the U.S. Navy, say your watch sucks. In fact, they say your watch sucks in four different time zones".
2. How many points did C.J think their job approval rating was going to climb in this episode?

Answer: five

Nobody agreed with her and echoed the President thoughts of "We're going to hold steady".
3. Toby tells Sam that he can go to Laurie's graduation.

Answer: False

Toby tells Sam that he can't go to the graduation ceremony and told Sam, "I really do believe Steve Onorato knows and he's...he'll try and use it to embarrass us. They may know who this girl is. They know she's graduating Law School tomorrow. They know it's someplace you'll likely to be. Maybe they'll want to snap a picture".
4. Complete the quote: "Hey, I like this. Of course, if everybody keeps moving up ___, then I get to go home".

Answer: one

The President said this when Toby and Sam were telling them about their plan to open up a place on the F.E.C by promoting an F.E.C commissioner to be the U.S ambassador to The Federated States of Micronesia. The president went on to say, "It's actually 607 small islands in the South Pacific.

Interestingly, while its total land mass is only 270 square miles, it occupies more than a million square miles of the Pacific Ocean. Population is 127,000 and the U.S. Embassy is located in the state of Pohnpei and not, as many people believe, on the island of Yap". Toby remarked, "Why would a person have that information at their disposal?" and Bartlet replied "Parties".
5. Did Charlie know Ambassador Ken Cochran?

Answer: Yes

Charlie mocked the President's "finely honed sense" by saying he didn't know Ken Cochran. It turned out that they did know each other, as Charlie was a waiter at the Gramercy club where Ken Cochran was a member. However, Ken told Charlie that he resigned his membership as he finds "exclusive clubs to be repugnant". Charlie points out, "I couldn't help but notice that didn't stop you from joining up in the first place". Ken went mad and told Charlie, "I'm sorry to do this, but I'd like to speak to your supervisor". Charlie quips back with, "Well, I'm personal aide to the President, so my supervisor's a little busy right now looking for a back door to this place to shove you out of. But, I'll let him know you'd like to lodge a complaint".
6. Who was Joey talking about when she said, "It's almost hard to believe you're not married"?

Answer: Josh

Joey said this when Josh went on at her about English as the national language. Josh went on to say, "Okay, I'll be back and when I get back, you're going to argue with me and we're going to argue about the things I want to argue about and you're going to do your best not to annoy me so much". Joey then said she found it hard to imagine he isn't married. Josh very funnily replies, " Oh-ho-ho! Many have tried".
7. Where did Donna say Josh should take her?

Answer: Hawaii

Donna told Josh that The Federated States of Micronesia were "located 2500 miles southwest of Hawaii where you've never taken me". Josh puzzled by Donna's remark replies, "When was I supposed to take you to Hawaii?" Donna remarks, "Anytime. It's something bosses do".
8. Who told Leo this joke, "You know why they only eat one egg for breakfast in France? 'Cause in France, one egg is an 'oeuf"?

Answer: Margaret

Leo was not amused by Margaret's rather lame joke.
9. Which London newspaper did Janine, Laurie's friend, do a deal with to set up a picture of Laurie and Sam?

Answer: The London Daily Mirror

The London Daily Mirror paid Janine 50,00 dollars to set them up with the picture of Sam and Laurie. Sam told Toby, "I've drafted a letter of resignation". Toby sternly said, "Well you're not going to give it to him, Sam, because that would deny me the pleasure of throwing you out through a plate glass window".

The President supported Sam and said, "If she passes her Bar exam, the U.S. Attorney General will personally see to it that she's admitted to the Bar". Sam was greatly relieved and touched with the President's response.
10. How many points did the Bartlet administration's job approval go up by in this episode?

Answer: nine

Throughout the episode, C.J made people aware that she felt her job wasn't secure. She told Joey which was later revealed by Josh, "You think you only have so many times left you can come into the Oval Office and say you're wrong". Josh assures her that the President "thinks of you like a daughter, C.J". C.J points out, "That's not a good enough reason to keep me here".

There is a nice moment at the end where C.J and Leo smile at each other when she comes in to tell them that they went up nine points.
