Loretta Swit (b. 1937) played the role of the Head Nurse, Major Margaret "Hotlips" Houlihan Penobscott in the American Korean War comedy-drama television series "M.A.S.H." (1972-1983). "Hotlips" Houlihan appeared in 243 of the shows 256 episodes.
2. Hoss
Answer: Dan Blocker
Dan Blocker (1928-1972) played the role of Eric "Hoss" Cartwright in the television western series "Bonanza" (1959-1972). The show did continue into 1973. Although standing at 6ft 4inches (1.93m) and weighing 320 pounds (145 kg) he was big and lovable but also tough. The Cartwright family was made up of the father, Ben (Lorne Greene) and the two brothers of Hoss being Adam (Pernell Roberts) and Joseph "Little Joe" (Michael Landon).
3. The Skipper

Alan Hale Jr. (1921-1990) played the role of Captain Jonas "The Skipper" Grumby in the comedy series "Gilligan's Island" (1964-1967). "The Skipper" was the Captain of the S.S. Minnow which was shipwrecked and the seven castaways had to survive on an island featuring some of their comical adventures, conflicts and attempt to escape from the island.

Edd Byrnes (1932-2020) played the role of Gerald Lloyd "Kookie" Kookson III in the television series "77 Sunset Strip" (1958-1964). "Kookie" was a wisecracking, hair-combing parking valet attendant for Dino's, which was a club next door to the detective agency, Bailey and Spencer. "Kookie" was an aspiring Private Investigator that on a number of occasions got involved in the detectives cases.

Henry Winkler (b. 1945) played the role of Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, better known as "Fonzie", in the American sitcom "Happy Days" (1974-1984). For his role as "Fonzie", Henry won two Golden Globe Awards and three Emmy Award nominations.

Fred Grandy (b. 1948) played the role of Burl "Gopher" Smith, the ships Purser, in the American television comedy series "The Love Boat" (1977-1987). "Gopher" appeared in all episodes of the TV series. From 1993-1995 Fred Grandy was a Member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Iowa's 5th District.
9. Pumpkin

Christina Applegate played the role of Kelly "Pumpkin" Bundy in the American sitcom " Married...with Children" (1987-1997). Called "Pumpkin" by her father Al Bundy (Ed O'Neill), she is an attractive, dumb but popular teenage girl in her neighbourhood.

Gary Burghoff (b. 1943) played the role of Corporal Walter Eugene "Radar" O'Reilly in the American Korean War comedy- drama television series "M.A.S.H." (1972-1983). "Radar" was the Company's clerk and usually got things done despite the incompetence of some of his senior officers. The show won 14 Emmy Awards in its 11 year history.
