As Glen Easley, the manager of the mortuary, explained to Sean and Christian, possessions should be returned before cremation and the man's wife was scheduled to be cremated a week prior, so when they couldn't find her possessions they went looking to see if they'd been misplaced. What they found was a number of bodies missing limbs and the body Prine had sewn together from the varied parts to create a whole woman.

Sean finally said that, through the end of the year, if they came in for one procedure, the second would be half price. One woman seemed interested (and later did come to McNamara/Troy for a facelift) but the sales pitch overall seemed pretty hopeless.

Prine made Sean promise to preserve the head so that he could be reunited with her when he got out of prison. Sean agreed and asked again who the woman was. Prine told him simply, "Her name is Laura, and she's my sister."

Sean and Christian told Liz that she could come back because they'd done the mortuary job so could pay her salary again. Liz told them, though, that she'd taken a job as a General Practitioner at Julia's spa. Sean was clearly shocked and hurt, asking why she'd want to go work there. Liz told him that she thought Julia's spa had the "potential to really help people." Sean asked incredulously, "You don't think we're helping people?" Liz looked at him and said with sad resignation, "I guess I am just tired of putting them to sleep."

He was clearly uncomfortable with the prospect of the surgery, pointing out the risks posed by her age and the reality that her skin had so little elasticity that she wouldn't be able to smile or frown. As he told Mrs. Ogulvie, "It'll mask the real you." The woman was more interested in Christian's reassurances, though, and signed up for surgery that very afternoon. Sean walked out in the middle of the surgery, upset because of the situation with Silas Prine and also probably in part because he'd been thinking about what Liz had said and wondering if they were actually helping their patients.
