Answer: Dick Clark

"TV's Bloopers & Practical Jokes" ran on NBC from 1983-1993 and then occasionally it would come back as a TV special. The show featured outtakes from TV series and it was probably the first show to outright punk celebrities. Each episode would feature a long drawn out prank pulled on a famous celebrity, usually with the help of their loved one and agent. Dick Clark, who is nicknamed the world's oldest teenager, also has a more extensive resume.

His successes includes "American Bandstand," "The $10,000 Pyramid," and "Rockin' New Year's Eve." However, he also produced "Greed" and "Celebrity Boxing!"
10. The actors and actresses who appear as answers in this quiz all appeared in a short lived TV show. That show was eventually made into a series of 3 comedy movies. What television series do the previous nine answers have in common?

Answer: Police Squad

The 1982 series "Police Squad," starred Leslie Nielsen as Detective Frank Drebin. Although there were only six episodes, the series evolved into a cult hit and was transported to the big screen in "The Naked Gun" movies. Nielsen reprised his role from the series and he was joined by George Kennedy (Ed Hocken), O. J. Simpson (Nordberg) and Priscilla Presley (Jane). The actors from the questions all appeared in the series (and Goulet also appeared as the villain in the second 'Naked Gun' film, "The Naked Gun 2 1/2: The Smell of Fear"). However you might not find their names in the credits.

The original TV series was unique. Each week the show featured an episode with two different titles and a guest celebrity, who starred as themselves and who were immediately killed off. The celebrities included:
(1) William Conrad, who is knifed and thrown out of a car in the episode, "Testamony of Evil (Dead Men Don't Laugh)."
(2) Georg Stanford Brown has a safe dropped on him in "Ring of Fear (A Dangerous Assignment)."
(3) Lorne Greene was also knifed and tossed out of a car in the episode "A Substantial Gift (The Broken Promise)."
(4) Florence Henderson was shot during a musical number in "Rendezvous at Big Gulch (Terror in the Neighborhood)."
(5) William Shatner is poisoned in the episode "Revenge and Remorse (The Guilty Alibi)."
(6) Robert Goulet is executed by firing squad in the episode "The Butler Did It ("A Bird in the Hand)."
"Police Squad" also featured a running gag in which Frank Dreben (Nielsen) would meet a stoolie named Johnny the Shoeshine Boy (played by William Duell). Dreben would pay for information and then leave and after he left, another person would appear to pay for advice. The person in the chair seeking advice included a Priest and among others, (7) Dr. Joyce Brothers, the famous psychologist, who asked for infomation on the 'Cinderella Complex.'
(8) Tommy Lasorda, who needs advice on whether he should add another pitcher
(9) Dick Clark, who wants to know about Ska music, and who also receives a bottle of anti-aging cream.

I would like to give a lot of thanks to the IMDB, which much of the info for this quiz was derived from and I would like to thank my memory, which remembered a lot of the stuff that was in this quiz. So thanks for the memory...
