Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. What present does Fred get for his birthday?

Answer: Mystery cruise

This is the first appearance of Fred's parents (more will be explained on them in the next question).
2. How many times do Skip and Peggy (Fred's parents) appear in the show?

Answer: 1

Actually, in the series "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated," Fred has different parents (Brad and Judy). This is explained because the "Mystery Incorporated" series were in a separate universe from all the direct-to-video movies.
3. What does the man at sea claim that he has seen?

Answer: Ghost pirates

The man is Rupert Garcia, an astro-cartographer.
4. Which two people are picked to be part of Mr. Mysterio's hypnotist act?

Answer: Shaggy and Scooby

The hypnotism fails, however, and Mysterio ends up hypnotizing the rest of the crowd instead.
5. What do Shaggy and Scooby dress up as?

Answer: Chickens

The 'Shaggy as a hooded man, Scooby as a witch' answer refers to the "Scooby-Doo Show" episode "To Switch a Witch," where both of them actually did dress up as these two things.
6. How does Rupert know the ghost pirates are on the ship?

Answer: Mysterious fog

Every time the pirates appear, a mysterious fog rolls in.
7. Who do the ghost pirates kidnap?

Answer: Skip and Peggy

The rest of the ship is also kidnapped and hypnotized by the ghost pirates.
8. Which of the following things does the gang NOT see in the Bermuda Triangle in this movie?

Answer: Skeleton Men

Notice my careful wording of the question to include "in this movie." The gang does actually meet skeleton men in the Bermuda Triangle in "The Scooby-Doo Show" episode 26 "A Creepy Tangle in the Bermuda Triangle," but not "in this movie" as the question asks.
9. Who are the two head ghost pirates, Captain Skunkbeard and Woodenleg Wally?

Answer: Biff Wellington and Mr. Mysterio

St. Cloud and Cruthers were both involved, but only because they were hypnotized by Mr. Mysterio.
10. Why does an unexpected storm occur in the Bermuda Triangle?

Answer: The Triangle wants what the pirates took

You don't necessarily have to watch the movie to answer this question. "Shaggy had sinned" is not likely to be in a cartoon that children watch, so that answer can be ruled out. If "there was no reason" for the storm, it would be pointless for me to ask the question, so that one can also be ruled out. "The weather forecasters were lousy" is just a silly answer that I made up, using common sense will tell you that it's not a likely answer, so that only leaves one (the correct) answer.
