1. The Alice (2005-2006)

Set in Alice Springs in the Northern Territory, "The Alice" ran for a single season of 22 episodes. The cast included Erik Thomson as Jack Jaffers and Jessica Napier as Jess Daily. The show began as a television movie of the same name. The plot had a group of strangers gather to watch a total solar eclipse and witness a murder.
2. The Brokenwood Mysteries (beginning 2014)

"The Brokenwood Mysteries" are set in the fictional town of Brokenwood which the show seems to indicate is somewhere north of Auckland on the North Island. Between 2014 and 2019, the series aired six seasons and 24 episodes. The series is somewhat unusual in that each episode runs between 90 and 99 minutes, similar to a television movie.
The series focuses on cases investigated by the Brokenwood police force. The cast includes Neill Rea as Mike Shepherd and Fern Sutherland as Kristin Sims.
3. Duggan (1997-1999)

"Duggan" had single double-length episodes in 1997 and 1998 and an 11-episode season in 1999. The series was set in the town of Marlborough Sounds on New Zealand's South Island. John Bach starred as John Duggan and Fiona Mogridge played his wife Ruth. The series presented a retired police detective who was brought back for consulting work.
4. Home and Away (beginning 1988)

Summer Bay, a fictional town in New South Wales, is the setting of "Home and Away". Over the years, many people have been part of the cast. The series initially focused on Tom Fletcher (Roger Oakley) and Pippa Oakley (Vanessa Downing) and their foster children who moved to the town from Sydney.
The show has covered many issues, including some that have been deemed controversial. "Home and Away" has a number of episodes in the thousands.
5. Medivac (1996-1998)

"Medivac" was sometimes known as "Adrenaline Junkies" overseas. The show was set at a hospital in Brisbane, Queensland. The cast included Rena Owen as Macy Fields and Grant Bowler as Dr. Arch. The show ran for three seasons and 48 episodes. The series focused on the challenges of the hospital's emergency department.
6. Neighbours (since 1985)

"Neighbours" initially aired on the Seven Network before switching to Network Ten. The show is set in the fictional town of Erinsborough, outside of Melbourne, Victoria. Airing each weeknight, the number of episodes of "Neighbours" is in the thousands. The initial focus of the show was on the Ransay, Robinson, and Clarke families. 7. Rain Shadow (2007)

The six episodes of "Rain Shadow" were set in the fictional South Australia district of Paringa. The show starred Rachel Ward as Kate McDonald and Victoria Thaine as Jill Blake. The show dealt with the struggles of a veterinarian and her assistant.

"Rosehaven" aired 24 episodes in its first three seasons. The show is based around a real estate business in the fictional town of Rosehaven in Tasmania. The cast includes Luke McGregor as Daniel McCallum and Celia Pacquola as Emma Dawes. The show is filmed in the Huon Valley of southern Tasmania.
9. Secret City (beginning 2016)

"Secret City" is a political thriller set in Canberra. The first two seasons had 12 episodes. The plotline focuses on tension between China and the United States and how they will affect Australia. The cast includes Anna Torv as Harriet Dunkley and Jacki Weaver as Catriona Bailey.
10. Streetsmartz (2005-2006)

"Streetsmartz" was set in Fremamtle, Western Australia. The series ran for three seasons and 39 episodes. The show focused on a group of teens and their families. The cast included David Richardson as Vinnie Martino and Anthony Harwood as Rick Martino. Vinnie's attempt at money-making schemes are a recurring plotline of the show.
