"Firefly" was on TV during the 2002-03 season. Only 13 episodes were ever produced, and not all of them aired.

The show reached cult status through DVD sales and word of mouth, eventually leading to the feature length movie "Serenity".

Answer: Reaper

"Reaper" had a great premise. A 20-something loser who worked in a retail store and still lived at home found out his parents had sold his soul to the devil.

He and two friends then started hunting down escaped souls for the Devil himself. Only 31 episodes were produced.
3. The main character in "Journeyman" worked in the entirely wrong field considering the secrets he kept. What career field did he work in that made hiding his time-travelling abilities extra difficult?

Sitting on the scoop of the century and unable to report it, Dan Vasser was a reporter with a secret. The newspaper the character worked at was the "San Francisco Register". The show starred Kevin McKidd and may have returned for a second season had there not been a writer's strike in the fall of 2007.

Many shows failed to launch because writers weren't around the sets to help patch up scripts as they were being produced.

In addition to those series, the following series all take place in the same universe "Homicide: Life on the Street", "New York Undercover", "Deadline", "Conviction", "In Plain Sight", "Jo", "Chicago Fire", "Chicago P.D.", and "Chicago Med".

A made for TV movie and several foreign iterations of the show have also been made.

Answer: Scrubs

Braff starred at Dr. John "J.D." Dorian for nine seasons. He started life on the show as an intern and progressed through to an attending doctor and eventually senior hospital staff.

McGinley played Dr. Percival Cox, the oft-angry attending doctor who would eventually become the chief of medicine.
