Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Pam (when we first meet her)

Answer: Receptionist

Ah, the beginning of the series. Jim, in Sales, was in love with the receptionist, Pam. During the series, we see Pam grow, break out to the Michael Scott Paper Company as Sales, then return to Dunder Mifflin as Sales. Eventually, she decides Sales isn't for her so she makes herself the Office Manager. Erin replaces her at reception.
2. Dwight

Answer: Sales

Dwight may be odd, but he was a great salesman. He also thought of himself as Assistant Regional Manager, even though he was more Assistant to the Regional Manager.
3. Angela

Answer: Accounting

Angela is the head accountant, with Kevin and Oscar also in her department. Kevin was not a good accountant and she and Oscar tried to limit his ability to mess up their work. Oscar was a decent accountant and, at one point, helped Michael with his finances.
4. Ryan (when we meet him)

Answer: Temp

When we meet Ryan in the first episode, Michael is showing him around because it's Ryan's first day as an temp. Ryan goes on to be in Sales and then to a Vice President at Dunder Mifflin corporate, where he has crazy ideas and possibly was the one who finally broke Dunder Mifflin.
5. Creed

Answer: Quality Assurance

We rarely see what Creed does. He sits near Meredith and has had an interesting life, partially based on the real actor's life being a musician.
6. Meredith

Answer: Supplier Relations

Meredith sits near Creed. At one point, Michael tried to check her into a rehab facility. We also rarely see Meredith do actual work.
7. Toby

Answer: Human Resources

Toby is the person in the office who tried to counter Michael's crazy ideas and consequently earned the position of Michael's least-favorite employee. When Michael and Jan shared their first kiss, Michael tried going to Toby to report the (non) relationship.
8. Kelly

Answer: Customer Relations

In the episode "Customer Survey", Dwight and Jim find out they had bad customer service surveys. They eventually figure out that Kelly tampered with the results because they didn't attend her "America's Got Talent" viewing party.
9. Darryl (when we meet him)

Answer: Foreman

Darryl begins in the warehouse as the foreman and eventually moves up to have an office upstairs. He leaves Dunder Mifflin to eventually become a VP at Athlead.
10. Michael

Answer: Regional Manager

Michael Scott is in charge of the office. He tries to be a fun boss, and even has a mug that says "World's Best Boss" on it. He tries to have parties and award ceremonies to liven up the office. When he leaves, Dunder Mifflin goes through a bunch of other managers (and owners), and eventually settles on Andy Bernard being the manager.

Until his relationship with Erin gets to him and he becomes erratic, eventually ditching work to take a sailboat south. In the end, Dwight becomes the manager.
