Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. $100: Who of the following is not a member of the Simpsons family?

Answer: Milhouse

Milhouse VanHouten is Bart's best friend.
2. $200: What town do the Simpsons live in?

Answer: Springfield

It was founded by Jebediah Springfield in 1796. He used to be known as Hans Sprungfeld, 'murderous pirate'. Shelbyville is the neighbouring, rival town. Shelbyfields is made up by me.
3. $300: Where does Homer work throughout most of the shows?

Answer: Springfield Nuclear Power Plant

Mr Burns is his boss. Homer worked at the bowling alley for a short while before Maggie was born, and he worked at the mini golf before Bart was born.
4. $500: Bart regularly watches which favourite TV show?

Answer: Krusty the Klown

Krusty is Bart's hero. Gabbo was a rival of Krusty for one episode. The News is hosted by 'local Emmy-award-winning' Kent Brockman (Krusty and Kent are both on Channel 6). Homer can be seen to watch the Bumblebee Man quite a lot, and finds his clumsiness hysterically funny.
5. $1000: What is the name of the superintendent of the schools in the area?

Answer: Superintendent Chalmers

He dates Skinner's mother, Agnes. In the episode "Lisa Gets An 'A'", Ralph Wiggum said to him, 'Hi Super Nintendo Chalmers!'
6. $2000: What is the name of Marge's sisters (the twins)?

Answer: Patty and Selma

Patty and Selma used to tease Marge when they were children, especially when Marge told them 'there will too be women astronauts, ... and we'll all live in houses on the moon'. Sherri and Terri are twins in Bart's class, and Sherri has a crush on Bart.
7. $4000: Which of the following has the Bumblebee Man not been heard to say in any "The Simpsons" episode?

Answer: 'Yo quiero Taco Bell'

The dog on the Taco Bell ad says 'Yo quiero Taco Bell'. It means 'I want Taco Bell' in English.
He says 'No es bueno', meaning 'That's not good' many times in his television show when something bad happens. He said 'Execelente', meaning 'Excellent', when he was auditioning for the role of Mr Burns in Burns' short film directed by Senor Spielbergo for the Springfield Film Festival (where Jay 'the critic' Sherman was a judge). Barney's "Pukahontas" won, it's ending line was 'Don't cry for me, I'm already dead'. This was the episode "A Star Is Burns".
8. $8000: Milhouse had a girlfriend named Samantha Stanky. What did he buy her from Circus of Values?

Answer: gummi bears

In "Bart's Friend Falls in Love", he bought her 'a ten gallon tub of gummi bears', she 'liked the red ones best'. He did buy his magic 8 ball from Circus of Values, but it was for himself.
9. $16,000: Whose birthday occurs in the episode where Homer goes to a mental hospital and meets "Micheal Jackson"?

Answer: Lisa

In "Stark Raving Dad", he helps Bart write a song for her: 'Lisa it's your birthday, happy birthday Lisa...'. Bart's birthday occurs in the Timmy O'Toole episode ("Radio Bart"), with the song "We're Sending Our Love Down the Well". Homer's birthday is the same day as the dog's, Santa's Little Helper. Michael Jackson's birthday is August 29, 1958.
10. $32,000: Ned Flanders claims he has a 'four-alarm chili'.

Answer: False

This is discovered in the episode "El Viaje de Nuestro Jomer (The Mysterious Voyage of Homer)". Ned claims it is 'five-alarm chili' but Homer tests it and denies this. Ned then says it is only 'two, two and a half, tops. I just wanted to be a big man in front of the boys.'(Thanks go to player 'groovy_elphie').
11. $64,000: What did Lisa want to see at the museum when their school had a pupil-free day (and tried to ask Homer if she could take a limousine or a bus there)?

Answer: the Isis exhibit

This was in the episode "Lost Our Lisa". She ended up catching the bus that she thought would take her to the museum (the 22, it turned out to be the 22A). Homer looked for her in a cherry picker, and when they finally reached the museum Homer helped her to unlock the secrets of the Isis.
12. $125,000: Who claims to have footage of Homer with his pants on fire?

Answer: Channel 6

'Are you calling Homer a liar?' is asked. 'Well we do have some footage of him with his pants on fire' replies Kent, speaking on BEHALF of Channel 6. This is in the episode "Hungry Hungry Homer" when Homer exposes the secret that the owner of the Springfield Isotopes baseball team is moving to Albequerque.
13. $250,000: What is Sideshow Bob's middle name?

Answer: Underdunk

He says this is his middle name in "Brother From Another Series", where his brother Cecil tries to get revenge on Bob for winning the role of Krusty's sidekick. Cecil is his brother, Terwilleger is his last name, and he married Selma once. As Selma says to Homer when he tries to get her to marry Apu (so that Apu would no longer be an illegal alien once Proposition 24 would be brought into law): 'I'm already Selma Bouvier-Terwilleger-Hutz-McClure without Nahasapeema-whatever'.
14. $500,000: Which of these is shown to be a last name of Cletus (the slack-jawed yokel) when he signs a petition?

Answer: Spuckler

We see this when he signs a petition for something. It is a really nice signature too, especially for someone who has heaps of kids and owns a 'dirt farm'. In another episode his surname is said to be 'Del Roy'.
15. $1,000,000: What is the Simpsons' telephone number, as stated by Homer in the commercial for his Mr Plow business?

Answer: KL53226

We learn this in the "Mr Plow" episode: 'Mr Plow, that's my name, that name again is Mr Plow. Mr Plow, KL5 3226. Call now and receive a free t-shirt'.
