In unusual circumstances, 43 women give birth across the world on the same day, in cases where the mothers didn't show signs they were pregnant. Billionaire Reginald Hargreeves finds seven of them and raises them as his own, thinking the circumstances of the births must make the children special.

Answer: He is a chimpanzee

Beyond being a chimpanzee, he is a talking chimpanzee, and operates his tasks as well as any human might. The seven return from their normal lives to the mansion upon learning that their father had passed. Pogo is still heading up the normal routines of the house when the seven return.

He was the house official during the formidable years the Academy was growing up in the house, so he is a good friend and familiar face to the seven when they return.

Answer: The world is going to end soon

One of his unpracticed jumps forward in time suddenly left him in a world of rubble, with no living beings around him. After finally devising a way to return backward in time, he is able to inform his siblings that the world is slated to end in eight days. He just doesn't know how it ends, or how to prevent it.

Life living alone had set his mind off center, his main companion was a mannequin he found in a department store.

Answer: Hazel and Cha-Cha

Hazel and Cha-Cha (played by Cameron Britten and Mary J. Blige) are sent from a future-altering organization to eliminate Number Five after their existence is threatened by Number Five returning to the present.

Answer: Number Six (Ben) and Number Seven (Vanya)

Ben (played by Justin H. Min) had died prior to the father's death (circumstances on how are not revealed in Season One), and Vanya (played by Elliot Page, then known as Ellen Page) was removed from superhero duties in early childhood due to her not exhibiting any supernatural abilities.

The other five still have their powers. Ben makes appearances in the first season because Klaus's ability is to contact and communicate with the dead. Ben becomes a confidante to Klaus during his emotional roller coaster rides, and in fact, saves Klaus from peril somehow from the afterlife.

Answer: The Vietnam War

It is unveiled during this period in the Vietnam War era that he falls in love with a fellow male soldier, who ends up killed in action. With nothing left to be there for, Klaus returns to present time with the help of the suitcase, left in a heartbroken state losing his love from the 1960s.

Answer: The moon

Reginald actually sent Luther to the moon to place him somewhere where he couldn't be trouble. Upon his return, Luther found a hidden area with all of his moon research still in its original packaging and not looked at in any way. This puts Luther in a depression tailspin for a period of time, since he realized his father whom he idolized discarded him aside.

Answer: Allison

A young Allison, from the prodding of her father Reginald, led Vanya into forgetting all of her powers (using her own powers of suggestion), and then Reginald puts Vanya on meds to suppress the power that she has. Vanya's power appears to be controlling magnetic and atmospheric conditions of the Earth, a power vastly more intense than any of the other Academy members.

When her boyfriend convinces her to stop taking her meds, she regains her powers but is completely inept at using them properly. With her boyfriend's help she finds her methods to harness her supernatural ways.

But when Allison reveals what she knows about her boyfriend, it comes out that Allison was in on the gig of keeping Vanya's abilities subdued. With Vanya's rage exploding, with one move of her arm she cuts Allison's neck and lets her bleed out. We find out in episode 8, the other siblings find Allison just in time to save her.

Answer: He was rejected by Reginald for entry into the Academy as a child

It turns out Leonard isn't even his name, it was Harold Jenkins. As you can imagine, a lot more than 43 babies were born on the same day as the future Umbrella Academy, and Harold ended up one of them. But he was not born under any special circumstances. His mother died in childbirth, and his father took to the bottle, leading to Harold being abused and humiliated by his father for his son's obsession with the Umbrella Academy. When Reginald tells Harold he has no powers, he is ordinary and not worthy in any way of being part of his team, he comes home seething and kills his father, which puts him in prison for twelve years...twelve years of plotting for when he gets out to exact revenge on the Umbrella Academy.

When Vanya realizes he is strictly dating her for revenge, he dies a grisly death at her hands, or rather, her powers.

Answer: A glass eye

Leonard (or Harold) even staged a fight between some hooligans to see if Vanya would unleash her power to protect the two of them. She did, and two of the hooligans were killed. But this was not before the thugs beat on Leonard so much, he needed to replace his eye. Number Five finds the eye and thinks that the apocalypse has been thwarted, because instigator of the apocalypse is very dead.

But that is not the case. I won't spoil the finale in case you dropped in on this quiz or question by mistake.
