And break the laws that they should fear,

The cry goes up both far and near for
Underdog!
Underdog!
Underdog!
Underdog!
Speed of lightning, roar of thunder,
Fighting all who rob or plunder
Underdog, Underdog!"
4. Where did Underdog go to get into his superhero costume?

Answer: A phone booth

When a crisis arose Underdog would jump into a phone booth to put on his red uniform and blue cape and would almost always destroy the phone booth when activating his super powers.
5. Who was the "damsel in distress" that Underdog usually had to save?

Answer: Sweet Polly Purebred

Sweet Polly, whose voice was provided by Norma Macmillan, seemed to always get into trouble and would seek Underdog's help by singing in a high sad voice "Oh where, oh where has my Underdog gone" to the tune of "Oh Where, Oh Where has my Little Dog Gone".
6. What was the occupation of the "damsel in distress" that Underdog seemed to save in every episode?

Answer: TV reporter

Being an aggressive television reporter Polly seemed to always get into trouble. Underdog never failed to respond to Sweet Polly's plea but unfortunately her admiration for Underdog never transferred to his other persona.
7. In most episodes, when Underdog would take flight a crowd would look up and say, "Look in the sky! It's a bird! It's a plane!" After which one woman would shout "It's a(n) _______! Can you feel in the blank?

Answer: Frog

After declaring it's a frog, another onlooker would ask "A frog?" Underdog would answer with one of his familiar rhymes, "not bird, not plane, not even frog. It's just little old me... (it is here that he would usually crash into a building or some other object) Underdog."
8. What did Underdog have to do to acquire his superpowers?

Answer: Take an Underdog Super Energy Vitamin Pill

Underdog kept his power vitamin in a ring. In some episodes he lost the ring and was unable to acquire his powers until it was found. When the series was released in syndication in the 1980's and 1990's the part showing him taking his pill was edited out in what some said was overzealous political correctness.

Others, however, thought the editing was needed because they beleived Underdog was glorifying drug use by taking the vitamin.

Answer: Simon Bar Sinister

Simon Bar Sinister was a mad scientist (voice by Allen Swift) who along with his cronies Riff Raff and Cad would wreak havoc on the local citizenry while trying to carry out their crimes. Occasionally Underdog fought other villains including The Electric (Slippery) Eel, Overcat and Battyman.
