Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Oh, man. It's Nazi Germany and I have Playboys in my locker."

Answer: Gingerbread

Xander was saying this while Principal Snyder and some guards were searching lockers. They were looking for evidence of witchcraft.
2. "Hey, larva boy! That's right. I'm talking to you, you big cootie."

Answer: What's My Line? Part 2

The cootie is Norman, one of the assassins sent after Buffy. He pretended to be a sales man to get into the Summers' house.
3. "Oh, no. I'm twice the fool it takes to do something like this."

Answer: Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered

"Bewitched, Bothered, and Bewildered" was the Valentine's Day episode that Cordelia dumped Xander in. In this episode, Xander had Amy do a love spell on Cordelia, but it totally backfired on him when it made all the girls except Cordelia love him.
4. "Think of the happy. If we don't find what we're looking for, we face an apocalypse."

Answer: Doomed

In this episode Vahrall demons were trying to end the world by collecting sacrifices. This quote was said to Spike to try to make him feel better since he was a little depressed. Part of the dialogue:
Willow: "We can't leave him here like this! We'll have to take him with us to the museum."
Spike: "Oh, you go on. I won't do anything. I feel better now. Promise."
(Xander puts an arm around Spike's shoulder as they walk towards the steps)
Xander: "Think of the happy. If we don't find what we're looking for, we face an apocalypse."
Spike: "Really? You're not just saying that?"
5. "Can I be blind too?"

Answer: Something Blue

Xander wanted to be blind like Giles because Buffy and Spike were kissing. They were kissing because of the spell Willow had done, they thought they were engaged.
6. "I am from the county of Leone. It's in Italy, pretending to be Montana." This was said in the episode "Halloween".

Answer: False

Xander actually said this in the episode "Inca Mummy Girl". They all needed to dress up for the dance at 'The Bronze'.
7. "But is steroid abuse usually linked with 'Hey, I'm a fish'?"

Answer: Go Fish

The gang suspected the swim team of steroid abuse because they all had the symptoms. The swimmers were actually on a drug given to them by their coach, through the steam in the steam room.
8. "Big overture. Little show."

Answer: Fear, Itself

Xander was making fun of Gachnar, the Fear Demon, because he was so small. Some Dialogue:
Buffy: "This is Gachnar?"
Xander: "Big overture. Little show."
Gachnar: "I am the dark lord of nightmares! (Buffy tries not to laugh) The bringer of terror! Tremble before me. Fear me!"
Willow laughing: "He - he's so cute!"
Gachnar: "Tremble!"
Xander bends down: "Who's a little fear demon? Come on! Who's a little fear demon!"
Giles: "Don't taunt the fear demon."
Xander: "Why, can he hurt me?"
Giles: "No, it's just - tacky."
9. "Buffy, this is not about looking at animals. This is about not being in class." Which season and episode is this quote from?

Answer: Season one, "The Pack"

Buffy wasn't thrilled about the field trip to the zoo, so Xander put it into perspective. This was before he gets possessed by a hyena, which happened in Season one and in episode six.
10. "It's a clothes fluke, and that's what it is, and there'll be no more fluking."

Answer: Homecoming

Xander's response to an explanation of why he and Willow kissed while they were trying on outfits for Homecoming.
"Homecoming" is not just about Xander and Willow, it's also about Buffy versus Cordelia as Homecoming Queen. After all they go through, it ends in a tie between Holly and Michelle. That's just not fair. :)
