Duelist Kingdom functioned under very different rules; Mirror Force would inflict damage to the target based on the difference of ATK between the monster who triggered it, and the other monsters that were destroyed by it. Interestingly, because Weevil's Basic Insect had 2150 ATK, this should've dropped his life points to zero. However, this didn't occur.

Coincidentally, Yugi also could've destroyed any of Weevil's monsters if he played his Dark Magician in attack mode, but it dealt more damage to use the tactic that he did.

This was the only time in the entire series when Time Wizard failed to activate its effect. Instead of destroying Bonz' monsters, it destroyed Joey's own Flame Swordsman (and Time Wizard itself), and almost caused Joey to lose the duel.

Answer: Living Arrow and Mammoth Graveyard

Living Arrow was a card that allowed the user to target an opponent's monster with a Spell Card that would normally affect the user's cards. In this case, Yugi chose Polymerization to fuse Kaiba's Blue-Eyes with Mammoth Graveyard. Because the two monsters are LIGHT and DARK attribute respectively, they couldn't properly combine, and Mammoth Graveyard caused Blue-Eyes to decay and lose an astounding 1200 ATK points every turn.

Living Arrow isn't a real card in the TCG, sadly. Just imagine what you could do with something like that!

Answer: Castle of Dark Illusions, Barox, and Dark Chimera

PaniK used a very cowardly (and ineffective) strategy of attacking only when his opponents couldn't see his monsters. He also used the card Chaos Shield to stop Yugi from attacking, which ended up backfiring spectacularly.

Answer: Flame Swordsman

Because Rex's deck consisted of Dinosaur monsters, which are apparently weak to the FIRE attribute, Flame Swordsman was able to negate Rex's field power bonus. He used this to destroy Rex's Megazowler before Flame Swordsman was defeated by Serpent Night Dragon.

Answer: Slot Machine

Slot Machine was repeatedly powered up by Keith's seven Completed cards, hidden in his wristband, in order to become unstoppable. However, Joey managed to counter this by activating Graverobber to use Keith's own Time Machine against him to win the duel.

Answer: Shining Friendship

Tea's Shining Friendship was meant to represent her bond with her friends, and she powered it up with cards like Silver Bow and Arrow and Elf's Light. Mai was capable of using Harpie's Feather Duster to stop this and destroy her monster, but chose not to and allowed Tea to win the duel.

Answer: Monster Tamer

Monster Tamer was used by Para to allow him to control monsters that were summoned by Dox. It also gave said monsters an ATK boost. In the TCG, Monster Tamer is a Level 5 monster with no effect.

Answer: Forest

Weevil Underwood lured Yugi into a duel that was set up in the forest, where all Insect monsters received a power boost. The first monster to utilize this was Weevil's Killer Needle, which was boosted by the forest. Yugi defeated it by using Mammoth Graveyard, which also got a boost from the wasteland field.

Answer: Cyber Commander

During the duel between Yami Bakura and Yami Yugi, Tristan was summoned as the Cyber Commander. He was destroyed by White Magical Hat before being returned through Monster Reborn.

Yugi activated the card Magical Hats as an effective tactic for buying time in four crucial duels; against the Kaiba doppelganger, the Paradox Brothers, Joey, and Pegasus. It worked slightly different than it does in the TCG, but Yugi still managed to use it well and won all of these duels because of its help.

Both of these surrenders happened to be from Mai Valentine. The first time was when she surrendered the duel against Tea, after purposely neglecting to use her Harpie's Feather Duster card, which could've continued it and would've allowed her to win. The second was when she surrendered against Yugi, because she had already lost her strongest monster and didn't want to see Yugi destroy her Harpies.

Answer: Shadow Spell

Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon continuously dodged out of the way of Kaiba's attacks, so he used the Shadow Spell card to immobilize it. This also lowered its attack points, allowing Kaiba to use his own Blue-Eyes White Dragon to destroy the Toon.

Answer: Curse of Dragon

The first card that Pegasus used the effect of Relinquished on was Curse of Dragon, which Yugi subsequently destroyed, and lost 500 life points for it. Dark Magician was absorbed right after, and used to keep the duel in Pegasus' favor for some time before Yugi turned it back around.

Answer: Burning Land

During Yugi's duel with Mako Tsunami, the Full Moon card that Yugi used on Silver Fang stayed on the field even after the monster was destroyed. After Mako's Kairyu-Shin flooded the battlefield, Full Moon caused the water to stay where it was and keep Yugi's available land to an absolute minimum, barely enough room for his Giant Soldier of Stone. He then switched Giant Soldier of Stone to ATK mode, and had it attack the Full Moon and destroy it. This made the tide recede, beaching all of Mako's monsters, and allowed Yugi to reduce Mako's life points to zero by combining Curse of Dragon and Burning Land to attack all of Mako's monsters at once.

In the TCG, Attack the Moon! allows the card's owner to destroy any Spell or Trap card their opponent controls when the battle position of a Rock monster on their side of the field is changed. It's continuous, so another card like Earthquake or Labyrinth of Nightmare could be used to destroy several Spell/Trap cards at once.
