Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. Though the Gustav is used by both the Empire and the Republic, its designation shows it was originally from what affiliation?

Answer: Helic Republic

Moonbay's Gustav has no affiliation. It's designation is Zi-025. The standard Gustav, however, is RPZ-02. Incidentally, this is also the same designation as the Shield Liger.
2. RZ-007 is the standard Shield Liger. What is the designation of the upgraded Shield Liger DCS-J?

Answer: RPZ-07

Though on the box for the model, it says "007" on the side of the Liger's face, the designation of the DCS-J is RPZ-07. The Shield Liger DCS-J includes MkII upgrades.
3. For the US models, Hasbro changed the designations so they'd all be similar. This way, the Bearfighter was changed from RHI-6 to what?

Answer: RZ-511

Following this trend, Hasbro made an odd change to the EZ-072 Energy Liger. The only model released simultaneously in the US and Japan, the Energy Liger's designation was changed to EZ-102 for the US version.
4. Why did the evolution of the Berserk Fuhrer, called the Sturm Tyrann, not have its own designation?

Answer: It wasn't originally an evolution

According to the backstory for the Sturm Tyrann, it was created to counter the threat of the Helic Republic. It was simply a CAS (Conversion Armor System) for the Berserk Fuhrer. The Empire had used it many times before, calling the CAS the Storm Fuhrer.

Then one day, they found they couldn't remove the Storm armor. The Storm Fuhrer turned red and they called it an evolution of the Berserk Fuhrer. They named the new ZOID the Sturm Tyrann.
5. What is the only ZOID BLOX to have a designation that classifies it with normal ZOIDs?

Answer: Fire Phoenix

The RZ-041 Liger Zero and the RZ-101 Fire Phoenix (also designated as BZ-106) combine to form the RZ-071 Liger Zero Phoenix. The Liger Zero Phoenix functions as a form of CAS that allows the Liger Zero to fly, but doesn't give the Liger Zero as much power as its standard CAS (Jager, Schneider, Panzer). The Liger Zero Phoenix is the only Fuzor to have a standard designation.
6. A designation beginning with "CDZ" denotes what type of ZOID?

Answer: Cyberdrive

A Cyberdrive ZOID is one that can be piloted via remote control. There are two known Cyberdrive ZOIDs: the Diablo Tiger and the Cyclops (CDZ-01 and CDZ-02 respectively).
7. When Hasbro made the Dimetroptera, what wasn't changed?

Answer: The weaponry

Basically everything about the Dimetroptera was changed. The Japanese version (Tomy) is gray-colored and has the designation BZ-021. The US version (Hasbro) is orange-colored, has the designation BZ-106, and had its name changed to the Dimetra Ptera.
8. Name the designations of the three different Command Wolf platforms in order of when they were seen in the shows.

Answer: RZ-009, Zi-024, RZ-042

First seen was the RZ-009 Command Wolf, also known as RHI-03. The basic platform, this was seen in the first episode of "Chaotic Century" and was the ZOID used by the late Dan Freiheit. Next up was the Zi-024 Command Wolf Irvine Special. This was used, of course, by Irvine and features a long-range rifle as well as other upgraded abilities. Finally came the RZ-042 Command Wolf AC.

The Command Wolf AC comes equipped with a double-barrel 50mm rifle and boosters. The AC was seen in "New Century/0" as being piloted by Ballad Hunter, and in "Fuzors" as being piloted by Helmut.
9. Which of these is not a flying ZOID?

Answer: RPZ-12

The RZ-010 Pteras, the RPZ-001 Salamander, and the RZ-029 Storm Sworder are all flying ZOIDs. RPZ-12 is the Houndsoldier.
10. What is the only ZOID with a designation beginning in "DBOZ"?

Answer: Gil Vader

The Radox and Battlesaurus both have designations beginning in "RBOZ". The Descat is DPZ-25. The Gil Vader, however, is DBOZ-17 and is one of the strongest ZOIDs created. It was originally created by the Guylos Empire, but later on becomes a member of Neo-Zenevas.
