Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. We're on a quest to power up the forgotten Moon Stone into the Sun Stone, useful for making weaponry. Charging it up will take awhile, about 65 million years to be exact. So we drop off the stone in the Sun Shrine in prehistoric times and take tabs on its progress. On one such visit to an age, it turns out the stone is missing. What age are we in if we are inside the glistening house of the Mayor who insists he did not take it?

Answer: 1000 AD

Coaxing the mayor into handing it back over requires further time travel, as we must hand off the pricy (9,900 G) jerky to the Elder in 600 AD to change history in such a way that his descendants are raised instilled with generosity.
2. Where must we be if we are infiltrating the Black Omen for the third time?

Answer: 12,000 BC

Rich with enemies that award good XP and charmables, traveling to the final "dungeon" of the game all three possible times is a worthwhile endeavor. To do so, we cannot alter history by clearing it out and still hope to revisit in a later age. Rather, we must travel there in reverse chronological order: 1000 AD, 600 AD, 12,000 BC.
3. Where could we not be if we are fighting a Nu?

Answer: 2300 AD

The future contains the guru Belthasar who has taken the form of a Nu, although we cannot challenge him. In 65,000,000 BC, we can find Nus in three specific locations in the Hunting Grounds while it rains. In 600 AD, a Nu will randomly appear in the Cursed Woods, with which we can battle by triggering a fight with other enemies on the screen.

The one-time Nu Battle of 12,000 BC is the most challenging - Upon entering a hidden room unsealed by opening the three elemental books in order, we are challenged to 6 Nus.
4. Where are we if we are making a way through Giant's Claw, a dungeon strikingly like the Tyrano's Lair of 65,000,000 BC?

Answer: 600 AD

We travel between 600 AD and 1000 AD to reach this location where we make headway on the Rainbow Shell quest. In 600 AD, Toma will give you a Toma Pop to pour on his eventual grave. We keep our promise in 1000 AD, get directions from his ghost to the Giant's Claw, where he was vanquished in his time.
5. We just brought Crono back to life. Where is the dramatic scene where our protagonist reunites with the help of his friends and a clone of himself?

Answer: 2300 AD

Scaling Death Peak and rescuing Crono was made possible by the Poyozo dolls and a Norstein Bekkler prize Crono doll.
6. Where must we input the password XABY?

Answer: 2300 AD

We are able to enter this password in the factory after we recruit Crono even without actually learning it from the nearby room. LARA is used in a flashblack by Lucca to save her mother.
7. This shop has great items, but they're all ludicrously overpriced. Where are we if we don't have the dough to shell over for the Demon Edge, a weapon overpowered for so early in the game?

Answer: 600 AD

This is no "prestige pricing" tactic; The monsters that live in Medina hate humans and, being one, Crono would have to pay a premium to sleep at the inn or buy any goods even after defeating the monsters. The prices, however, become perfectly reasonable upon defeating Ozzie's Fort - at which point the items are far less useful anyhow.
8. This Kilwala is sick of hearing us to talk to him. He just bribed us with a Magic Tab to leave him be. Where did we talk to him four times and get this goodie for our troubles?

Answer: 600 AD

This Kilwala is found atop Denadoro Mountain. After a few mundane statements, he'll concede "Man, you're nosy. Here, take this."
9. In what age does the game begin?

Answer: 1000 AD

"Chrono Trigger" follows a popular tradition of beginning the game in the protagonist's house, where he is waking up from bed.
10. We just recruited a new party member and learned of Magus, the one it seems is responsible for creating Lavos. We could fight him - Or we could just go straight to the endgame and take out Lavos ourselves. What is the earliest location we could warp to doomsday 1999 AD fight Lavos with a full party and get the "Nu Bedtime Ending"?

Answer: End of Time

There are two opportunities to go up against Lavos before The Hero chapter: One is via the bucket on our first visit to the End of Time. We may also achieve this ending involving a Frog, Kilwala, and Nu by defeating Lavos from the Millennial Fair portal during the Village of Magic chapter.
