"Prisoner 849 escaping..." are the first words you hear after walking out of your prison cell. You are mentioned by this name again in the game's expansion pack, "Return to Na Pali". Prisoner 853 is the number of the (dead?) guy you can find in the "execution" room, and Prisoners 472 and 327 are mentioned by the malfunctioning computers as you go through the air vents.

It is indeed the Vortex Rikers. The Dark Phalanx and the Iron Guard are names of teams that you fight against in the campaign of the original "Unreal Tournament", and the Prometheus is the name of a ship that you're sent to find in the game's expansion pack, "Return to Na Pali".

Na Pali is the correct name of the alien planet. From what I've heard, Gryphon was considered as an early name for Na Pali. Kryllia is the name of the planet that the UT99 map "DOM-MetalDream" takes place on, and Vandaron 3 is the name of the planet that the map "CTF-Dreary" takes place on, also from UT99.

The Skaarj is a race of reptile-like aliens that are hellbent on "subjugating all inferior races" and conquering the planet. The Gen Mo'Kai are a (somewhat) similar alien race in the UT200X trilogy. The Araknids are the spider species you find on the icy planet (ironically) named Hell in Unreal II, and the Izarians are the first enemies you encounter in "Unreal II".

The Izarians are slaves for the Skaarj, and are sometimes called "space monkeys."

Answer: Nali

They are the planet's native four-armed humanoid species, who are currently being enslaved by the Skaarj, forcing the Nali to do work for them, or just merely torturing and killing them. Vortigaunts are an enemy alien species from "Half-Life" that have also been enslaved.

The Karkians are large carnivorous creatures that can be found in "Deus Ex", which is another Unreal Engine 1 game, and the Kai is a type of alien encountered in "Unreal II".

Answer: Dispersion Pistol

The Dispersion Pistol is the correct answer. The Dispersion Pistol is a small energy pistol whose primary fire emits a barrage of blue energy beams (that changes color as you upgrade the weapon), and the alternate fire is a blast that can be charged by holding down the right mouse button.

The Automag is the second weapon you can find, and it's a small handgun. The Enforcer is the UT99 incarnation of the Automag, and the Glock is the pistol you can find in "Half-Life".

The ten weapons in the game are the Dispersion Pistol, the Automag, the Stinger, the ASMD, the Eightball, the Flak Cannon, the Razorjack, the GES Bio Rifle, the Rifle, and the Minigun. The only weapon that was not carried over to the next game was the Stinger.

While you can change the gender of the character or pick a different skin to your preference, fans tend to believe that Gina is the "true" protagonist of the game. Anna and Rhea are the names of bots in UT99, and Nina is the name of a character from the "Tekken" fighting game series.

There are thirty-eight levels in the game ranging from the prison ship, ancient temples and ruins, alien spaceships, coliseums, castles, and you even get to traverse through a city in the sky at one point!

The prisoner successfully kills the Skaarj queen and escapes the planet in the end, but your ship runs out of fuel as soon as you ascend out of the planet, and you are left drifting into space.
