Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. First of all, what do we find to be Bayonetta's REAL name?

Answer: Cereza

Occasionally during the game, time slows down, and a male voice is heard in the background, "Fear not, my dear sweet Cereza, for I am watching over you." This voice is revealed to be of The Father; the last surviving Lumen Sage. He also reveals that Cereza, the child, is actually Bayonetta from the past brought to the present.
2. What is the relation between Bayonetta and Cereza in the game?

Answer: Bayonetta is Cereza, but older

The Lumen Sage who fathered Bayonetta reveals to her that she is actually Cereza, and that she 'had to see herself once more in order to realize her full potential.' Lumen Sages were to Umbra Witches what day is to night, Bayonetta being a half of both, made her unique in this aspect.
3. Which of the below statements is true?

Answer: Bayonetta and Jeanne are the last Umbra Witches

Jeanne, Bayonetta's long time friend and sparring mate, and herself are the Only Umbra Witches left. Jeanne never hated Bayonetta, she only wanted to prove her worthy of the Left Eye; otherwise she shelved her like a sister. Bayonetta is half Lumen Sage, leading to her being cast away as an outcast by the Umbra Witch Clan. Jeanne, on the other hand, is a full Umbra Witch.
4. Why do the angels relentlessly pursue Bayonetta throughout the game?

Answer: Umbra Witches made deals with Hell. It was only natural to hunt her down.

Umbra Witches gained their power by making deals with the devil. They killed angels and when they finally died, they belonged to hell. Not that Bayonetta would have it that way.
5. What is the name of the man who tirelessly follows Bayonetta?

Answer: Luka

Luka, although just a mortal human, tries time and again to get Bayonetta. He thinks she killed his father, although it's revealed that it was actually angels.
6. Why does the man above follow Bayonetta?

Answer: He believes she killed his father, so he wants to expose her

Luka 'witnessed' his father being ripped apart while Bayonetta was there, so naturally, he assumed that she had killed him with her witch powers. What he didn't know was that angels were slowly ripping his father apart. And since angels are invisible while in their dimension, he was none the wiser.
7. Bayonetta has how many weapons, in total?

Answer: Nine

She has the Onyx Roses, Alternate Onyx Roses, Onyx Rose Shotgun, Alternate Onyx Rose Shotgun, Katana Sword, Kulshedra (whip), Durga (claws), Plain ol' handguns and the Killgore rocket launcher. Initially, only the Onyx Roses are unlocked, the other weapons are unlocked by collecting 'Angelic Hymns' in the image of gramophone tracks. One gramophone track unlocks a weapon, however sometimes you may have to collect a track in several pieces. Alternate versions of the weapons are bought from The Gates of Hell.
8. What is the name of Rodin's bar-cum-weaponry shop?

Answer: The Gates of Hell

The name of Rodin's bar is The Gates of Hell, which is used like a shop where you purchase upgrades weapons, skill sets and items to help in gameplay. Rodin himself is a demon, and coincidentally, uses his bar as a 'gate to hell' to craft for Bayonetta powerful weapons and such. You need to collect Halos, which are like points in the game, to purchase most items.

However, 'Angelic Hymns' unlock new weapons, if all pieces are collected.
9. Umbra Witches use what, mainly to channel their magical energy?

Answer: Their hair

Umbra Witches use the flexibility of their hair to augment their abilities, summon forth powerful demonic entities and, in Bayonetta's case, cover their bodies as clothing. This can be seen during her Witch Weave moves, whereby Bayonetta becomes partially naked as she uses up all her hair to finish off the foe. This is also seen during Climax moves; Bayonetta's ultimate attacks.
10. Which angel rank represents the main bosses in the game?

Answer: Cardinal Virtues

Whenever a boss stage is next, the stage heading displayed is actually the angels rank in holiness, ergo 'The Cardinal Virtue of Joy, Peace, Justice' among other virtues. The angels are actually ranked according to the real-world official theological angel hierarchy.
