Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. "Am I Wrong" - Anderson .Paak ft. ScHoolboy Q

Answer: Bomb

The 'Bomb' deck, originally released as a Toys 'R' Us exclusive deck themed around rap beats and hip-hop tracks, included "Am I Wrong" as its wild card, allowing for the smooth "Malibu" track across all four colours on the DropMix board. Although the actual song also contains horns, these are not featured when played in-game.

Instead, vocals fill the yellow slot and drums the blue, but keys appear in both red and green placements. Perhaps it's for the best since the song is likely to be matched up with elements from tracks like Technotronic's "Pump Up the Jam", Black Eyed Peas' "Boom Boom Pow", and Salt-N-Pepa's "Push It", all also featured in the pack.
2. "The Final Countdown" - Europe

Answer: Hightower

This classic rock track, when played on any space, will be introduced with a countdown before mixing into the mix being created, making it an instantly-recognizable element when played. The 'Hightower' deck, built from cards from the Series 1 and 2 Discover packs, is filled with rock both classic and modern. Sharing the deck with the Europe hit are elements from Franz Ferdinand's "Take Me Out", Cake's "Short Skirt/Long Jacket", Imagine Dragons' "Radioactive", and Weezer's "King of the World". The Europe wild card is specifically found in a Series 1 pack.
3. "Pony" - Ginuwine

Answer: Mirrors

Another hip-hop R&B pack, the 'Mirrors' deck introduced a handful of funky elements including vocals from Salt-N-Pepa and Outkast ("Ms. Jackson"). Ginuwine's "Pony", his first major single, is unique as a wild card because it features vocals in both the yellow and green positions (while green is usually reserved for guitar or bass).

When played in the blue/green slot on the DropMix board, the characteristic bass vocals are backed by the drumbeat. On red, the song introduces its dreamy keys.
4. "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" - Hall & Oates

Answer: Dapper

The 1981 Hall & Oates single "I Can't Go For That (No Can Do)" appears in the suave and poppy 'Dapper' collection found in the Series 1 and 2 Discover packs. The vocals appear with the memorable key accompaniment in the yellow/red slot, but the snappy bass line only appears in green (while blue is drums).

It's definitely fitting for the 'Dapper' pack, especially when held up to other inclusions like LMFAO's "Sexy and I Know It" and "Good Vibrations" (by Marky Mark & the Funky Bunch ft. Loleatta Holloway).
5. "Jungle Boogie" - Kool & The Gang

Answer: Breaker

Playing normally at a more sedate 97 BPM, "Jungle Boogie" has some fairly interesting horns when played in a red slot though it's a fairly reliable card in any position because of its consistent beat. While "Jungle Boogie", Kool & The Gang's first single, is funkier than most other songs in the 'Breaker' pack (denoted by the lightning icon), it's joined by elements of TLC's "No Scrubs", "Like a G6" (by Far East Movement ft.

The Cataracts and Dev), and Flo Rida's "I Don't Like It, I Love It". 'Breaker' consists of cards found in the Series 3 and 4 Discover Packs.
6. "A-Punk" - Vampire Weekend

Answer: Socket

Although an indie rock offering, "A-Punk" shares the 'Socket' deck (denoted by the skull icon) with other modern rock hits like "Take Me Out" (by Franz Ferdinand) and Fall Out Boy's "Centuries". "A-Punk's" most interesting elements are isolated throughout with the eclectic lyrics and frenetic guitar riffs in the yellow and red slots, the poppy drum beats on blue, and the squirrelly bass line in green.

The 'Socket' deck is another composed of Discover pack Series 3 and 4 cards.
7. "Super Freak" - Rick James

Answer: Derby

With its instantly recognizable lead-in, "Super Freak" is probably one of the most distinct additions to a mix out there, adding a dash of disco funk to whatever's already on the board with other songs from the 'Derby' playlist pack, all of which share classic pop sensibilities. Along with the vocals and beat of "Super Freak", 'Derby' includes segments of Gloria Gaynor's "I Will Survive" and the Jackson 5 song "I Want You Back".
8. "All the Small Things" - Blink-182

Answer: Ouroboros

The 'Ouroboros' playlist pack takes us into more rock stylings and Blink-182's famous single "All the Small Things" sings through its popular first verse and chorus (of 'na na na na na nas) when popped into the first slot on the board. The blue and green slots hand out drums and bass respectively.

This pack also features cards that include elements of "Shut Up and Dance" by Walk the Moon, "Emperor's New Clothes" by Panic! at the Disco, and the strings of "Bring Me to Life" by Evanescence.
9. "Kids" - MGMT

Answer: Astro

This 2007 indie hit from the band's "Oracular Spectacular" album is the capstone track for an otherwise dreamier pop setlist in the 'Astro' playlist pack alongside elements of Miike Snow's "Genghis Khan" and Odesza's "Say My Name" (featuring Zyra). Unlike most other wild cards, "Kids" features two keys elements as found in the red and green positions, meaning that unless the card is placed on the blue spot (for drums), any mix containing the song will feature at least one of the characteristic synth beats found in the track.
10. "Down With the Sickness" - Disturbed

Answer: The Blade

'The Blade', one of the game's four starter decks (packaged with the DropMix game board), features heavier rock songs amongst other unique tracks, so it allows your mixes to feature songs from Evanescence, Imagine Dragons, Weezer, and Fall Out Boy. "Down With the Sickness", perhaps Disturbed's most mainstream hit, is best known for the "Ooh-ah-ah-ah-ah" that appears as the beat takes on the elements of the song upon play in any slot. 'The Blade's' icon is a battle axe.
