Quiz Answer Key and Fun Facts
1. A Harp, in "Kid Icarus", does what?

Answer: Turns enemies on the screen into mallets

It not only turns all enemies on the screen into hammers but also turns all enemies that come ONTO the screen into hammers. Unfortunately Pit can not get the hearts he would normally get from those enemies.
2. Hearts do what for Pit?

Answer: Pit buys thing with them

Many things can be bought with hearts all through the game. Small hearts are worth 1, half hearts are worth 5, and full hearts are worth 10.
3. Mallets are used for what?

Answer: Smashing stone statues

Mallets can be found all through "Kid Icarus". Although they DO damage enemies when smashed, Mallets are designed for freeing Centurions, friendly fly-like creatures. They were turned to stone by Medusa and fight with Pit when he fights the boss of a fortress. They are only found in fortresses.
4. A Barrel can be bought on the Black Market for how much?

Answer: 500

Normally Pit can on only hold one bottle but the barrel lets him carry eight! This lets Pit have an extremely high health. It is a very expensive lifestyle, though because bottles cost at least 270.
5. What does the Black Marketer say?

Answer: What do you say! Try buying from me.

The tone of the Black Marketer suggests that it is probably not the best choice to buy here. The only reason to ever buy something here is to buy the barrel, to buy back a treasure which Pit lost or to use the Credit Card.
6. What is the normal price of a Feather?

Answer: 390

350 is the normal price of a bottle. 150 is the price after it has been lowered (press A+B on the other controller) and 630 is the price after it has been raised.
7. The Credit Card works just like a normal credit card except what?

Answer: Pit does not have to pay interest

Of course Pit has to pay it back! Pit can, however, max it out. He can only buy one thing on credit from the Black Market at a time.
8. How many stores are there in the first level, 1-1? (NOTE: This is counting both Black Markets and General Stores.)

Answer: 0

In the first level, Pit is not expected to have very many hearts so there are no stores. Ironically the first store in the game is the Black Market in the second level.
9. What is the most Pit can pay at once for any single item?

Answer: 760

A bottle, after the price has been raised at the General Store, costs 760. The Crystal Shield costs 700 to buy it back after it is stolen.
10. Which is the only fortress that has no Hot Spring (the thing in which Pit stands to refill health)?

Answer: They all have one

These rooms are great for a nice relaxing time to refill all health. These can be used again and again so they are definitely somewhere to mark on the map.
